  1. Nado does make the most sense to be the one willing to move. I think one of his quotes was "My clock is ticking". He does deserve a ring and I think the Cards owe it to him to try and work a deal with a team that has a real shot at winning a Championship. They didn't live up to their end of the bargain when he came here, and he still stayed, so I say make it up to him now.

  2. So we are keeping are best power bat..Practice, practice at first Willson! Foot work, footwork..spring Training..intentionally throw short hops , high ..wide throws..we are known for defense lets keep something positive in 25 ..Baker in for lefties? What are the splits? Maybe he should play full time being its a reset year…the young pitching staff could turn some heads and keep us in some games..the 9th though could be some issues. Bullpen by committee ..was that 1985 Herzogs team? And Todd Worrel call up in ( a starter in the minors) was a savior until Don Denkinger blew it in 85⚾️🏆

  3. Trading Nado is just stupid best 3rd Baseman in the Game!!! The Cardinals are truly disappointing. A Nolan Arenado trade should get a Max Muncy & Chris Taylor from tne Dodgers or Padres even trade Manny Machado for Arenado. The Mets Pete Alonso & Jeff McNeil for Nolan Arenado. The Cardinals better get a good deal from this trade, I'm serious.

  4. Hey JD;

It is sad that the Cards can’t compete to the degree they have to trade Arenado. I can’t help but wander what the return might be.

It is nice to hear that Sonny and Willie prefer to stay put.

Thanks for all you do to keep us all informed on all things Cardinals!😊

  5. If I was Mo I would trade Nolan Arenado to the Diamondbacks for 1B Christian Walker & CF Corbin Carroll. I would trade Mikolas and Helsley for a Veteran (not overrated) SP for instance a Walker Buhler.

  6. I dont think Nado wants to leave. Hes still good and we arent that far off with the team as is. We were in the playoffs until a week to go and the pitching was our downfall. Nobody will take on the pay. Dodgers are tapped unless they let go of someone. Yankees will be tapped keeping all they have. And no other team will hinder themselves with the salary. Hes not a build around guy with any other team anymore so they arent ponying up that money for him.

  7. Is Seattle a team that would trade pitching for offense. Is it a destination that Arenado would be interested in? They seem to need a catcher with offense also. Arenado and Herrera for Gilbert or another in their starting rotation? It does sound like good news. I still think a platoon of Burleson/Baker at first. DH and catcher for Contreras. How close are Crooks and Bernal? Hopefully, one of them can throw people out at second. I'm glad both want to stay, thanks JD.

  8. Rip it up Cards. Get rid of the big guns! We all know where it’s going for the next several years. Show off the young guns and see how it shakes out. Invest in minors and wait for the goodness. Oh, get great coaches.

  9. This is awesome. Twins fan but moving more towards paying attention to my home state Cards. (Been to Busch 2 & 3 more than I can count). Cards is in that group of baseball clubs where it's a honor to play for even though going through a "reset," basically figuring out life without Molina (a future hall of famer) is highly difficult. Lol
Nice to see high caliber players wanting to stay. 👍

  10. I know this isnt the point of the video, but we really should just develop our youngsters & then fill in the rest on 1 year deals. There always seems to be a Joc Pederson, Bellinger, Teoscar Hernandez type players that always sign late in the offseason.

  11. They're NOT going to be all THAT Much better than the Marlins or Rockies….maybe still significantly better than the White Sox….esp. the White Sox w/ potentially no L. Robert, G. Crochet, An. Vaughn, etc.

  12. If Wilson Contreras is moving to first base what happens to Alec Burleson and luken baker shurly what send baker back to the minors after 65 homers the last two season you need to play him or trade him

  13. I still have hope for next year. They still have decent odds of making it, just like any other mid market team. A few good players and hope for the best on the young guys. The only issue with the cardinals is that theirs no BIG main guy thats really good. Also, the brewers have really adverage players, and they did alright so who knows

  14. My lord yall.. they are dumping salary.. not trading nado to get more salary.. Nado to dodgers for Bobby Miller is your best bet… and doubt they go for it.. you aren’t getting anything but maybe top 30 prospects so just stop

  15. Cardinals can win the division with a couple of signings, trade for pitching and unload some salaries.
Sign Adames 3B/SS/2B and Santander OF. This will boost offense.
Trade Arenado and other players for SP or RP help.
Starting lineup: Goal is win 93 or more games

    C Herrera/Pages
    1B Contreras/Burleson
    2B Donovan
    SS Winn
    3B Adames- sign
    OF Santander- sign
    OF Sinai/Nootbaar
    OF J Walker
    DH Burleson/Contreras
    SP Gray
SP- trade for number two starter
    SP Fedde
    SP Pallante
    SP McGreevy/Matz/Mathews
    SU Fernandez
    CL Helsley

  16. Hey can we do something different this offseason other that pointing how bad the Cardinals and/or the front office is. What are the guys they want to become the "core" doing this off season? Who is Walker and Gorman working with to improve at the plate? Who Contreras working with on the move to 1st base? What young pitcher is tracking Sonny down to work with him .Why aren't our catchers playing in the Caribbean league working on their short comings. Those are the things real fans should be talking about.
