Love the videos keep up the good work
I really hope it’s just a depth piece
🤓👍🏼🍿
People let’s chill he’s a utility and filter. He’s not a starting shortstop so stop if he makes the team it’ll be as utility and filter that’s it and it’s a back up just in case some albie get hurt , and need some to replace biggio opted to become a free agent and incase they could get him back they They had to replace them just in case they couldn’t get back.
Christian, thank you for your service! I hope you had a great Veteran’s Day 🙏
Edit: I stand corrected
So asking Christian what he wanted to talk about first was just a waste of breath??? 🤦♂️
Looks like AA is obsessed with the Athletics.
Either he is going to start or he's not. Either way its a pretty firm commitment that they are not getting another shortstop. Either Allen starts and Arcia is your backup infielder, or Arcia starts and Allen is your backup infielder. They are not going to go sign Kim or someone like that to start at short and leave 2 backup shortstops on the bench. MAYBE there's a tiny chance of that happening if they had 3 outfielders who you expect to start 162 if they are healthy but we do not have that and having Allen and Arcia on the bench leaves your active roster as 13 pitchers, 8 starting feilders, Ozuna, a backup catcher, 2 backup shortstops and 1 other roster spot. That doesn't work. You need to carry 5 outfielders with Kelenic as a platoon bat and Acuña playing on 2 bum knees one of which he just had surgery on.
Nothing more than an emergency player. Really solid glove. Nothing to brag about at the plate, but has shown glimpses in the minors. This was just a move AA made because he is bored right now. Once the QO’s are declined, the free agents will start getting signed. Business will pick up. And AA will know what he needs to trade for at the winter meetings.
Cheaper defensive move than Nicky Lopez. Arcia has good value at that contract, particularly as a backup. Trade Arcia potentially, if Adames can fit budget.
Well maybe Allen will be used in a trade. I don't like this pick up. I wanted Kim! Well maybe I am wrong about Allen. I hope so.
No real disagreements on Nick Allen. Should be depth and could even be quality depth.
Love the stat pulls for Paredes. Having a league average 4 seam isn't the best thing when you only have 2 pitches but if he can locate it well, that hopefully makes up for it.
