GTA Football – Los Santos Saints vs Van Der Linde Gang
The Grand Theft Auto National Football League (GTANFL) is a professional American football league that consists of 24 teams, divided equally between the American Football Conference (AFC) and the National Football Conference (NFC). The NFL is one of the major professional sports leagues in the United States and Canada and the highest professional level of American football in the world. Each GTANFL season begins annually with a four-week preseason in August, followed by the 17-week regular season, which runs from early September to early January, with each team playing 16 games and having one bye week. Following the conclusion of the regular season, six teams from each conference, including four division winners and two wild card teams, advance to the playoffs, a single-elimination tournament, which culminates in the Super Bowl, played in early February between the winners of the AFC and NFC championship games.
The Los Santos Saints are a professional baseball team in Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. The Saints play at the Los Santos Forum in East Beach, Los Santos, based on the real-life Great Western Forum (also known as the Los Angeles Forum), where the professional basketball team, the Los Angeles Lakers, played from 1967 to 1999. Their uniforms are based on the Los Angeles Clippers uniform from 2001-2010, and their logo is similar to the Los Angeles Dodgers’. The name could be a reference to the professional baseball team Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim (known as the Anaheim Angels at the time of the game’s release, also known as the Los Angeles Angels from 1961-1965), or the professional football team, the New Orleans Saints.
The Van der Linde gang (also referred to as Dutch’s Boys) is an outlaw gang featured in Red Dead Redemption 2 as the main protagonist faction. It is also mentioned in Red Dead Redemption, alongside the appearances of several of its former members. The gang’s roots lie in a fateful meeting between two petty hustlers, Dutch van der Linde and Hosea Matthews, around the mid-1870s. Van der Linde and Matthews met each other at a campfire on the road to Chicago. Hosea attempted to con and rob Dutch, but realized that Dutch had done the same and stolen from him in the meantime. They both saw the skill that the other had and laughed, deciding to team up and face the future together. The Van der Linde gang was thus founded.
