There are lots of reason we have sucked through the first quarter of the season, but this is the biggest one. Cant win in the modern NBA when no one on your team can hit a 3 (other than the rookies). The Cavs have the best record in the league, and they are shooting 40.2% as a team from 3
Guess it’s time to bump Jackson’s minutes. Or maybe not.
We are getting better as a team , but shooting is still very concerning. Like , let’s have a line-up with Joel where Maxey and PG are sitting on the bench , obviously the best choice is to surround Embiid with shooters around him. Who are we gonna put in this line-up who can hit a three ? Caleb is no good , Kelly is becoming a bit better , but it’s not gonna last a whole season, EG isn’t hitting shit , same for Kyle and Reggie (who are also major cones on defense). I can only think about McCain and Yabu.
Was gonna post the same thing lol, our rotation is shooting so horribly that I’m not ready to blame Nurse for everything wrong with the team. We have a lot of streaky guys who need Embiid’s gravity, and Embiid’s missed two months so our team looks complete ass.
Guerschon and McCain HAVE to get big minutes in the rotation though, even if we get healthy
Maxey 😔
I’m always amazed with how the league average 3pt % has been pretty consistent over the last twenty years.
I just always assumed the familiar 36% for 3pt average for the league would just change in either direction over time, but it’s really just remains the same.
Maybe we shouldn’t be playing the game this way if we can’t really shoot which is the problem with this team. We’re not the Warriors but for some reason everyone involved with the sport now believes you have to simply shoot threes all game long whether you’re good at it or not. It’s dumb and lazy.

Sixers are shooting 32.6% as a team from 3pt range this season. That is ranked 27th out of 30 teams
