only way Bouchard gets 9 million is if he gets subsidized by all the other teams since he is usually on the ice when they score.

if I were an Oilers manager, I would not pay him more than 5M, if that… He makes too many mistakes, often 'grave' mistakes with scoresheet effects. Same with SSkinner, at best a 4M.

Bouchard is NOT an $11M defenseman. He’s not even worth $9M. Paying for potential that may not materialize is risky, at best. What we know is that he is offensively accomplished and a defensive disaster from time to time. Remember, the position he plays is called “defense”.
Bouchard is worth 7 million/per. Nurse is worth 5.
Bouchards biggest problem is that he thinks he’s better than most others and doesn’t need to exert himself to beat them. He needs to start giving 110% all the time. Is that asking too much???
