[Portzline] Told Jacob Trouba refused to waive the no-trade clause in his contract to facilitate a trade to CBJ

  1. If Anaheim gave up a no name and a draft pick for him, I’m glad Columbus didn’t get him because I would expect Trouba/1st round to Jackets for future considerations. Don’t think that would have happened with the Anaheim deal.

  2. So the Ducks gave up Urho Vaakainen (former late 1st rd pick having an awful career) and a 4th for an overpaid Trouba?

What in the fuck was their GM thinking?

  3. It seems wild right now that Anaheim had to give up anything to get Trouba but at the trade deadline either this year or (more likely) next year they will probably flip him and get a pretty decent return. With how needy teams always overpay at the deadline and all.
