But shots don’t equate to goals as Detroit struggled to score again, losing 2-1, their 5th straight one-goal lost. Goaltending stood out huge in this game, Georgiev, who has struggled all year, played out of his mind. And Husso was solid again in his 3rd straight start. But it was not enough.   3. FFS I am done with you guys: So, Sparky, Chucky D, Bowman, Brown had NOTHING to do with winning championships!!!! Interesting how Detroit has never won a championship without someone who is clearly acknowledged as a bonafide HOF level coach. Detroit is Coach simp central…been like that for 45 years. Tired of the excuses for someone who is obviously in over his head.

  7. Anyone who can’t see the system is a big part of the problem, is blind. I cannot understand why Lalonde thinks this will eventually work. Just want to see Kane go to the Panthers at the deadline, so I can still enjoy him play.

  8. coach change won't make this team much better. temporary boost but you can't hide the talent gap at center. I'm hoping for the deadline dump for the ages (lol). not a good dump and chase team. reluctant shooters. I'm more on the GM roster build than the coach. old teams that aren't playoff teams are lottery teams. plain and simple. tear it down now. grand rapids is budding.

  9. I'm ready for us to just sell off everyone but Larkin, Raymond, Seider, and Edvinsson for picks and prospects. I'm even kinda starting to waiver on Larkin. I'm starting to question his leadership. He reminds me of Yzerman in his quiet leadership by example, but I feel like they need a boisterous captain who is going to motivate and rally the team.

    They don't need another U of M type on the roster.

  19. Areas of concern? How about a second line that of Copp-Compher-Tarasenko? How about Kane screwing the 2nd line up so bad, and forcing him on Kasper? How about Berggren to the 4th line?

    If I go into my job and fail EVERY day I get fired.

    Lalonde gets to avoid the embarrassment of being fired.

    This is Steve Yzerman's mess.

  24. Not counting 1 empty net goal in a rare victory, this team has played 10 consecutive 1 goal games and have lost 7 of those. It’s obvious that this is just how Lalonde wants the team to play and it simply doesn’t fit the roster assembled. It’s like a chef making a bowl of lobster bisque then giving the customer a fork to eat it with. It’s a shame to be wasting our great goaltending performances over and over. Nice thing is we may actually be able to trade Husso for some assets

  27. What is Stevie Y waiting for? The team is lethargic under Lalonde and the coach has to go. Why is Johansson and others from GR not displacing the garbage on the ice. Save your future Seider Raymond Edvinsson Berggren before it’s too late!

  28. Husso has played well, so I'd expect him or Lyon to be traded at some point.

    The defensive system the Wings have been playing isn't producing wins. It also has negatively impacted Kane & Compher's game. They're used to playing in offensive systems. I was hoping they'd avoid the long losing streaks this year, but here we are.

    I think Yzerman has tried keeping the team competitive while building through the draft, but it's probably best to move on from Lalonde.

  29. Every defensive pair and every forward line does the same stupid, ineffective crap in the defensive zone that gets them stuck there for an entire shift. They played well for 40 minutes and then came out looking like they thought the game was over. Hey going to the offenses on and skate around the perimeter for 30 seconds without a sniff of the net, if they don't immediately lose possession and get kicked out.

    It is not a roster problem if every single player is doing the same thing. That is coaching for sure.

    Debrincat – Kasper – Teresenko
    Edvinson/Petry

    Motte – Compher – Berggren
    Gustafson/Johanson

    Ras – Copp – Fischer
    Chiarot/seider

    Balancing lineups is the coaches job. Its not that hard to balance this one. Should definitely fire Lalonde.

  31. Yzerman, scouts, Lalonde, all coaching need a change, bring back Holland, Kane needs to get traded as he forgets how to shoot. Good news, Husso seems to be playing good and would like to see Cossa get a game in before being sent down. The main issue is coaching. There is no chemistry in the line up. I can't stand any of our drafts and prospects. The last 10 years have not been great for draft choices. I heard some stupid rumor of Larkin being traded, but that doesn't make sense as he signed a long term contract two years ago.
