If Gil/Schmidt continue to progress, pitching staff is gonna be very filthy. Bullpens are unreliable often but between Williams and Weaver and Hamilton….Lasagna let’s see how he returns but when he’s right, we know what he does…I believe in what we got in the pen and think we make another addition or two…definitely a lefty (Hill ???) and think a decent chance Tommy is back too.
Pitching is gonna be nasty hopefully. Offense is in flux. Defense is a question mark.
I honestly like the approach we’re taking. You can win by scoring runs and by preventing them. Sucks to lose out on Soto, obviously, but building a monster staff is a good pivot.
Cashman has dreamed of this for decades, and it’s rarely ever been achievable. Having potentially the best rotation and pen in baseball. It won’t surprise me if he focuses on building the best defense to support it now.

Who has an incredibly hole-filled lineup? Will Braindead Trashcan make any moves to bolster the lineup? Tucker, gone. Have a feeling Braindead doesn’t want Bregman. Bellinger? Not what he once was. Arenado? Even more of a shell of his former self. T. Hernandez and Santander for LF/RF, meaning Judge in CF would have to cover even more ground.

My issue is playoffs. They don’t pitch well when it matters. Burnes is a better pitcher but Yankees love lefties starters at the stadium. I’m not mad at these 2 moves , just indifferent
With tucker going to Chicago, unless Cashman is about to drop a huge surprise trade we are going to go into the season with Rodon as our 4th SP and weaver as a fireman.
