  1. He testified to Congress so the apology could not admit any admissions of guilt that would open Him up to some politician wanting to hang a famous scalp on The wall. The claim no laws were broken was to protect Him and 100% put in there by His Lawyer

  2. Had to bust out laughing on ALL your comments about Slammin Sammy Sosa. I guess you guys absolutely don’t remember him leaving the last day of the regular season early, he said Dusty Baker said OK, the owners of the Cubs absolutely hated that with a passion, Baker when asked over a dozen times said he never gave Sammy permission, that was definitely passed on to Tom Ricketts

  3. After all these years we forget how Sosa and Big Mac brought baseball back after a lockout and a sour fan base. Good for him for giving some kinda apology.

  4. He walked out on the cubs like a few games before the season ended on his last season with the cubs . Steroids were actually great for MLB views

  5. And again… what's he apologizing for? There's never been anything connecting him to anything. Why wasn't Jim Thome, Jeff Bagwell & Mike Piazza made to do this? Same with Papi. They all looked just as guilty and the rest of them are in the Hall!

  6. I call bullshit. He took steroids to keep pace with that other Roid Freak McQuire. He knew they were performance enhancing. It has nothing to do with “staying healthy”. And he broke laws. What an asshole.

  7. Players like McGwire and Sosa saved baseball, they did what alot of others were doing and got hung out to dry for it. Waiting 20 years to welcome him back is bullshit, the way all the "steroid era" players have been treated is garbage

  8. Sosa made the Cubs an untold amount of money in the late 90s. He was in the national spotlight daily wearing a Cubs uniform and sometimes waving an American flag. He owes the club nothing. Did he use? It sure sounds like he's admitting it here. And I don't think he did it to recover from an injury, at least in the way he puts it. He did it for wealth and fame. Most people would probably do the same. I think it's ok to see this from both sides.
