No, they do not. They are the same or worse than last year. Jed seems to think their record was wrong and two seasons isn’t a large enough sample size.
Its not if its for how long PCA,Shaw, and bush will slump for because they are not true MLB players everyone keeps acting like busg is Anthony Rizzo he is not he had one ok year PCA slumped for mos of the year and shaw cannot really be expected to be good out of the gate trading bellinger was stupid especially for what they got
Possibly 90 win team..IF they spend the cash they saved on a real closer and another solid starter,, With more quality arms to stack up the Pen..We all saw what a failed pen looks like.. Over 30 blown saves last year..
they are not much better than last year without another starter and closer. even with those they need a few things to bounch their way (mostly shaw and pca.) but theres no way they win 90 games if "nickel and dimes" are still mid at best in the batters box.
Kyle Tucker is WORTHLESS if we don't surround with enough to win something worth winning!!! Clearly jed and the richetts are not going to do that…
Disagree on Castillo. A 32 year old starter making $25M a year for 3-5 years? I’d rather spend that elsewhere.
These 2 seem to ignore the big issue …jeds idiotic contracts that screw us and allow teams like nyy to bend us over!
I wouldn't be mad if the Cubs just put 15-20 Million$ back to Really sign King Tuck and use the other 16 mill to shore up a stud closer. The biggest contract the Cubs ever signed off on was 188 mill I believe Tuck might be looking 450 mill prolly. I base this on his averages as he seems pretty consistent. He is going to take a LOAD of pressure off of the rest of the lineup and hopefully they will Flourish. Just a Thunk here.

He is nothing without someone to follow him in the lineup ,Cubs need 1 more star /bat. You replaced Tucker with Bellinger. Tucker is better, but he only bats 4 times. Players need protection .It's a joke if this is your World Series .Need at least 1 more power bat.
