Tate needs to be the new PG because fred needs less minutes
Saying Jalen didn't have a good or bad game honestly undersells everything he did in that first half
He had 17 points on 7/12 shooting he was our ony source of offense. Without Jalen we would have lost that game.
in the 2nd half Ime sat him down for like 11 straight Min.
Regarding turnovers, Jalen had like 2 turnovers.
FVV gets a pass just because he impacts the.winning other ways? How?
But the others don't get that Pass.
Keep up the great work Frank
Glad to see you back
We pay Fred to much money man lol I think if all our young players focus on roles and become dominant in those roles we would be great . Imagine if cam was a 3 and D Kj Martin type player ..
Great breakdown bruh
Craig was tweaking last night 😂
Thank you bro! All these other podcasters see one loss and wanna trade everybody. We’re number 2-3 in the west with mostly young cats and an elite coach. Let them cook. And they need to develop through the losses. I love this squad right now. We’ve beaten the Thunder, Warriors, Magic, and the Wolves. No easy feat.
I hope Cam can learn because dude is exciting and explosive, brings awesome energy
You finally called Sengun's performance as it was? We're getting somewhere Frank🙌🏽
No mention of how good Jalen's stretch was carried us?
When Cam pointed to the bench after a putback layup I knew he was locked in. I’m Happy he’s putting effort into becoming a well rounded player and that was the coolest part of this game. Ime is really shining as a leader for these kids.
Why is Reed afraid of taking his shots? He needs to show Ime what he can do for the team. Unless Ime himself has asked him to take it slow this year?
The league tends to be dominated by players who are 25 years old and older. This team is competing with them now. Let alone all the upcoming teams that are going to pivot to a rebuild or make self-sabotaging moves. We’re so set for the future. Rockets Kingdom, as you’ve said before.
It’s hard for a bunch of 21 year olds to learn to play a professional sport together. But somehow they’re doing it.
This is no where near the peak of this roster.
Until Sheppard elevates and Eason is on the floor we will struggle at times. We need a star that is reliable to take pressure off Vanfleet
It seems to me that Ime is trying to get the Rockets to function without Fred. I would mind trading Fred and whatever for Fox and signing Naz Reid in the off season. Naz, Jabari and Alpi can share minutes at PF and center. I think Fred is ready to be with players his own age. Rockets surely do not want to pick up his third year after the way he is playing so far this season.
Frank, do me a favor….keep dropping that FIRE!
The Houston Rockets are showing clear signs of improvement both as a team and individually, particularly in their defensive performance. While the development of young players like Jabari Smith Jr. and Jalen Green has been slower than some fans’ lofty expectations, their progress aligns with the typical trajectory of players their age.
No one on the roster has yet achieved the consistency needed to be considered an All-Star. However, the team boasts some of the most athletic young talent in the NBA, with a defensive-first approach under their coaching staff. Players such as Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Şengün, and Amen Thompson have the potential to become All-Stars, but achieving that will take time.
Fans and analysts ( certain guest) should approach the team’s growth with patience and avoid letting biases or unrealistic narratives cloud their judgment, as this is a young team still developing its identity.
The Houston Rockets’ emphasis on defense, particularly for young players who have not previously been tasked with such a high defensive workload, will naturally impact their offensive performance. However, this focus on defensive intensity is crucial for their overall development, as learning to grind out games builds resilience and mental toughness. While there may be differing opinions on Ime Udoka’s offensive coaching strategies, the approach highlights the importance of establishing a strong foundation before advancing to more complex systems, both mentally and physically.
The Houston Rockets are unlikely to contend for an NBA championship this season, but their future appears brighter than that of many other teams in the league. With a core of young, athletic talent like Jalen Green, Jabari Smith Jr., Alperen Şengün, and Amen Thompson, combined with a strong defensive foundation and the guidance of head coach Ime Udoka, the Rockets are building a team with significant long-term potential.
Let’s extend grace, remain resilient as fans, and set aside biases to truly appreciate the progress the Rockets have made. Their journey is a testament to growth and perseverance, and while there’s still work to be done, the strides they’ve taken deserve recognition.
Gotta disagree on your Cam take brother. I agree he hasn’t earned the right to be “the guy” yet. But if we being honest neither has Jalen. High key I think Cam is a better overall player than Jalen, and this is coming from a Jalen fan.
But we are starting to sound like the Texans saying “we just gotta execute” every Sunday after a loss in regards to Jalen Green. Jalen is what he is, a high flyer who can’t shoot the 3. Cam has similar high fly ability but brings the 3 point shot to the table.
We are sitting on gems in Amen and Cam, but are holding onto a trash ass contract in Fred, and the hope that Jalen will become this team’s superstar. Time to move on and let other kids shine. 💯🤘🏼🚀
He CTE and Angel/Satan reference killed me cuz i see it in real time also. Cam be wanting to go tween tween 1 on 5 off the back board to himself for the flush but knows he needs to swing that peel🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Teams are really exploiting SENGUN in the pick and roll. He hates stepping out to the perimeter. His damn feet be glued to the floor
Alpi currently is:
Averaging 18.7pts – 10.6rebs – 5.3ass – 1.2stl – 1.1blk
#10 BPM (Box Score Plus Minus)
#8 PIE (Player Impact Estimate)
#22 in Defensive Rating (#3 on the team behind Dillon and Amen)
#14 in PER
#14 in fouls drawn
He has done these while being #65 in usage (behind #59 Jalen Green) and #82 in minutes
Houston is 3rd in the West
There will be 24 all stars, and the fact that Alpi nearly in every single advanced metric is in the top 24 while being clearly underutilized by the Rockets and Ime (#82 in minutes, #65 in usage) should at least make us easily think he is one of the best 24 players in the league.
your videos are as important to the rockets as sengun and jalen are, you are by far the best rockets content creator
Jabari and Dillon have been the biggest bright spots over the last few weeks. So consistent and our most efficient shooters.
Alpi and Jalen just need them both to be more consistent. They both pull random disappearing acts or develop butterfingers and become turnover machines certain quarters.
Absolutely nothing good to say about FVV the last few weeks. His been downright awful most games. I hope his shot turns around.
16:09 ???😂
Cam started so bad he needed to go to the G League. Maybe Ime thought it was an opportunity to give Reed some minutes and now it is time to start winning at a higher rate.
his shots are to flat, needs more arc
AM hoops said Jabari is not special and Hoops reference even called him a bust, make em eat crow Jabari.
