  1. Jim you keep talking about Meyer who might come up late in 2025 and keep missing Kristian Campbell who's the Sox #3 Prospect (who plays 2B) and the Minor League Player of the Year who would likely make the team out of training camp if they don't get Bregman. Campbell is the much more likely blockage than Meyer.

  2. as a Met fan I dont want him over Pete…however him AND Pete and letting Pete and Vientos share/rotate between 1st base and DH, now that would be creative (in other words let Alosno get 100 games at 1st/62 games at DH and Vientos 100 games at DH/62 at 1st base)

  3. that lineup isnt anywhere near what it would be if we sign pete. end of the day i do think we just get pete alone and the lineup is
    lindor
    soto
    vientos
    pete
    nimmo
    marte
    alvy
    siri
    acuna

however if they get bregman and pete which is the less likely situation u have
    lindor
    soto
    bregman
    pete
    vientos
    nimmo
    alvy
    siri
    acuna

then we go get vladdy and theres a bunch of options bregman 2b vientos 3b pete dh vladdy 1b or move bregman to 2b vientos 3b and having vladdy an pete alt 1b and dh. its crazy but theres a chance theyre able to get pete breggy and vladdy.

  4. the tigers move would be simple. trade tork. he can't hit a fastball… Keith to first (he's not great defensively at 2nd) Jung back to his natural 2nd base spot and bregman at 3rd… but no way in hell Chris illitch pays the money. most of us are afraid he's going to let Skubal, Greene and Carpenter all walk for nothing

  5. I’d trade Tork, Jace Jung to 2B and Keith to 1B. Tork has been sent down twice in 3 years and has not improved at all. Seeing him play everyday I think it’s time we move on

  6. Minor point neither Hernandez nor Santander would play in right field at Fenway however your point is correct they would play in left and Duran would likely play in right field at Fenway ⚾

  7. What's the why and what on bregman mets? I'll never understand the alonso contract. They 100% want vlad, no need to trade for him with the contract thing going on he'll definitely become a free agent. Get bregman now you have good defensive 3rd move vientos to 1st, swap mcneil and acuna on 2nd, acuna against left hand pitchers mcneil against right. Marte is in his last year you can dh him or soto sometimes this year. Then next year vientos dh. No need to waste money on alonso you can't keep vientos on 3rd he's not good there at least not yet. Both alonso and bregman are the same age but I think bregman is cheaper, you'll have more money to sign vlad next year. On the coming years once you trade siri or let him go you can make nimmo your cf and move acuna or vientos on lf, your choice on who you want as a 2nd (preferably acuna). Then you can sign another power bat as a dh for a cheap 1 or 2 year just have to find one or batty if you didn't trade him. I don't like batty defensively he's shaky his bat is weak.

    This year
    Lind SS
    Soto RF
    Vien 1B
    Nim LF
Breg 3B (if you sign him)
    Mcnl/Acu 2B
    Mart DH
    Alva C
    Siri CF

Batty he can be on the bench do what you want with him. Just like I said he's a weak bat and shaky defender.

    Next year
    Lind SS
    Soto RF
    Vlad 1B
    Nim LF
    Vien DH
    Breg 3B
    Mcnl/Acu 2B
    Alva C
    Siri CF

  8. I think Boras has lost his edge. He’s convincing guys like Bregman that he can get them a huge contract, so the pass up solid offers through overconfidence. That said, Breggy will probably be happy in Detroit while the Astros will probably be happy with Walker.

  9. If the Red Sox acquire Alex Bregman, it should be to play 3B, with Devers moving to DH. Kristian Campbell will be competing with Grissom for the 2B job. It will only be Hamilton if both bomb spring training. Roman Anthony could be the opening day LF, with Duran in CF, Abreu in RF, and Rafaela on the bench as a "10th man"… Yoshida traded or used as a platoon bat of some sort. Replacing Abreu with Santander or Hernandez would be a huge defensive downgrade. Adding Bregman replaces Yoshida's bat with Bregman's and upgrades 3B defense by a LOT. Bregman is a Gold Glove caliber 3B, and Devers is the worst defensive 3B in the league.

  10. Tigers fan checking in; personally I don’t want bregman, but we probably aren’t going to sign him anyway as long as we still have Baez and his negative net equity contract performance issues…poverty franchises like my DET cannot afford relatively nice assets, even if Canadians frequent our weekend games and have broadcast contract agreements; Bregman gives you 2.5 peak years but if we don’t go back to the World Series with him on defense, then what does it all mean?

  11. Makes a lot of sense, what you laid out for the Sox. I’d sign Teo and move Duran to RF so Teo could have the easier field too. Great vlog. 👍🏾

  12. I don’t think Bregman fits Comerica park at all. He needs atleast a neutral park to be a productive bat. It’s hard to find a good fit though….. maybe Toronto? Not many teams need a 3rd base, have money to spend and a good ballpark for Bregman. I don’t see any clear fits

  14. Mets are making themselves available as a soft landing spot if the long term deals aren’t there. They would likely offer a deal with player options. As far as Pete, Boras is being stubborn because the Mets deal isn’t going up.
