They’ve already blown the playoffs. They are not playing good defense. They quit doing that 2 weeks ago.
Don’t quote me on this exactly, but…..the Steelers have what I believe to be the 9th longest streak in the NFL as far as seasons without a playoff win goes. Each of those other 8 teams have fired their coach at least once.
Mike Tomlin isn’t a bad coach, but he is definitely overrated at this point. The Steelers relative lack of success seems to be always be everyone’s fault but his: the QB, the GM, the owner, etc. Yet, any moderate success they do have is solely because he is some kind of football genius. Mike Tomlin is the only common denominator throughout all of these disappointing seasons.
He hasn’t won a Super Bowl in 15 years and has precious few playoff wins since. All of those other coaches on Hard Knocks have won a playoff game more recently than Tomlin.
Steelers cant win big games wait til saturday, youll see, it all boils down to coaching, which for the steelers is non existent.
How long did bill go before he won a Super Bowl lol he did it his last fkn year as coach of the Steelers yet he’s better than Tomlin
I'm not worried about anything it's just another season under Tomlin 🤷♂️ cincy will probably beat us Sunday and we'll get shellacked in the first round of the playoffs, as usual…. But hey, winning season 🙄
The 1990’s Atlanta Braves of the NFL. Greatest regular season teams ever but only one championship to show for it.
I’m a black man who was young when the Steelers won there Super Bowl in 08. I was inspired to see Coach Tomlin out there as a black man. However, now it’s time to move on from him. He has had his days in the limelight which I’m glad. It’s been bad since 2016 after that AFC championship game against the pats. I saw an exposed coach that doesn’t have it anymore. I’m okay with his resume and what he did for us but it’s truly time to move on!
3 Games in 11 days in an excuse; look at the other teams who have gone 3-0 during the same 11 game stretch. The Steelers have overachieved this year however they are not on the same level as the best teams in the AFC. The Steelers should focus on beating a Cincy team who is playing much better than Pittsburgh. How far has the standard fallen in Pittsburgh when fans clamor to play the Texans vs the best teams in the league. Mediocracy is the new standard in Pittsburgh. What they need? Player only meetings where each man defines what it means to wear the Steelers jersey and what they will do to uphold the standard of Excellence; not the standard that has been set the past 8-9 years. Forget Xs and Os, this team needs each other with an unshakable commitment to playing Steelers football. It also doesn't help they don't have leadership in any of the key sections of this team; someone who holds other accountable. They had this in Tomlin's early years with Casey Hampton, James Farrior, etc. Since their departure, the Steelers are a mediocre team that is quickly becoming irrelevant in the competitive landscape of the NFL.
Jon Gruden for Mike Tomlinson? Anybody???
But Rich, Tomlin's never had a losing season before. /s😏
the first thing Tomlin said … "fir me, its NO DIFFERENT "
Steelers never win another superbowl with Tomlin. He maybe a good coach but not a great head coach. The experiment is over.
Proof in the pudding. You have to beat the best to be the best.
We look like clowns out there. Sucks!
There’s no way the Steelers are beating Joe Burrow.
… The main thing (not the only thing) that concerns me the most right now is the OL; I'm not sure it can hold up against the playoff teams. Still, I would think the Steelers having a mini-bye of sorts to prepare, and being at home, they have a good chance to win or at least not get their doors blown off against Cincy…
Guess I'll find out Saturday night!
Went through it with the Eagles last year. It absolutely sucks.
The mental gymnastics Rich does to not blame Tomlin or to remind us how "great" he is is hilarious
Mike Tomlin is Skirt Cousins; better than 500 but a girl scout when its man season
Pitt is prisoner of identity politics. They cant look for a new voice n strategy at HC cuz every black playa pundit would cry racism. Mediocrity is the raison d'être of race hustlers.
The Rooneys need to move on from Tomlin. They just do. The luster has been worn. 👍🏻✌🏻
Just so tired of Tomlin, man. Defensive coach who hoards all the top players for his defense and they get obliterated. Take him on the Jets. IDGAF. Im sure he will keep winning at the press podium
We aren't winning a playoff game. I'm a fan but we don't pass the eye test.
I'm a steeler fan hard core . And every team we play against. We beat them, period, now we can't even beat the chiefs , the eagles, the ravins, give me a freaking break . I now we can beat every team , bit something has to give , something is wrong and we need to fix that problem , yea we win , we win , we lose , we lose , but it's a must we fix the problem. You know I know that this is steelers for life big time . Happy new year to all my steeler nation out there and may the force be with you always with respects Bakersfield California kern county Mr PAF USA USA USA 🇺🇸 thank you and God bless America Trump Trump Trump USA USA USA 🇺🇸
Worried is a cancer diagnosis. The is a yearly thing with this Team. Rich, it would help if the media would stop licking Tomlin boots.
Same old Steelers!! Mike Tomlin needs to go !!🤬🤬🤬🤬
We keep telling you Rich you don't listen… same coach same crap
Five of the previous seven seasons (2024 included) consisted of a three game losing streak at some point after Thanksgiving…different OCs, different QBs and different defenses…the common denominator? Mike Tomlin
Just sayin
Mediocre Mike got his non losing season we're good till he has to get to 9 wins again next season…. when will anyone realize what he's doing isn't working… he looks good for the outside media nobody cares that we aren't a contender there's no excitement because everyone knows come December or January we're gonna tank … but keep defending Mediocre Mike
18 winning seasons and so what???? Superbowl is what counts😅😅😅
What a spin cycle, rich. 😊
record is as predicted based off the schedule by me and who the qb was didn't' matter. tho i thought they'd wouldn't loose till week 11..(being all the division games are at the end of the year) weird season its football anything can happen… but im pretty good at this and a 10-7 was probly likely so this isnt' news this is just the inevitable happening late. i do hope they win 1 playoff game tho.
Let them play the game!!!!! It's still not an exercise for all these couch QB's to fantasize about what will happen or can happen, it's about those men that take the field each week, put on the big boy pants and go kick butt like they use to in steeler football. Let go steelers!!
And here we go. Rich just said, “but they’re playing good defensively.”
Proof once again that he has no clue. They are allowing 30+ points regularly now. If not, very close to it.
From the beginning, the Steelers should have taken the pressure off and not given the Chiefs or Eagles a chance to have look at them on film. Health into the playoffs was always most important, but instead, they played two games without Pickens where they predictably looked like dog crap on offense, and then got picked apart with 4 days to prep for the Chiefs just like their short week to the Browns. Tomlin should have conceded the division, got the team healthy, and made those 11 days meaningless. Instead he let them be meaningful games where they fell on their face and everyone is banged up with confidence below the floor…
1 and done.
Been a Steelers fan since 1979 and this has been the MO for too many years. At least during the late Chuck Noll years they sucked all the time. This is painful like the Cowher years where it was just always so close, but at least Cowher got to the AFC Championship game a few times. Tomlin teams fall apart at the end of the regular season and crash in the first round.
Media over the last two years-
It’s Mitch fault , no I mean it’s Kenny fault , wait it’s all Canadas fault , oops make that Smith no , hold up its Russ, wait, actually it’s Austin……lol
Steelers can’t beat the better teams
They aren’t playoff worthy.
The problem with your premise Rich, is that Steelers fans haven't seen ANYTHING in the last 3 weeks that tells us that they are in a position to beat Cincinnati. The offense is built and predicated on the ability to run the football effectively in order to open up the passing game. With mediocre and seemingly tired OL play in the 2nd half resulting in an ineffective running game, all of the pressure is on Russ and a group of receivers that have trouble getting separation, and the passing game suffers as a result. Aside from lack of communication between secondary players, who knows what has happened to this defense in the past 3 weeks. No pressure from the DL on OLBs (even Watt looks stymied), ILBs that aren't coming downhill any longer and can't get off blocks, and a secondary that can't really cover anyone right now. Can't see how they right this and beat the Bengals.
Steeler fans need to get a sense of reality. We played the 3 hardest teams on our schedule in 11 days. Surprise! We lost all 3. (Playing Baltimore at home with a healthy Lamar is harder than playing Baltimore in Pittsburgh). We're not beating the Chiefs and the Bills with this roster. We can and have beat the Ravens but we don't have as good a roster as the other AFC teams.
What is the surprize who did we beat this year only average and below average teams

I love how rich didn't mentioned one time that the Steelers had a firm grip on the AFC north and just had to win more game to clinch it, but nope
From the day the schedule came out, every observer (both neutrals and Steeler fans) knew the schedule was backloaded. Baltimore was likely to be good (split the series). Cleveland and Cincy were projected to be better than they have been, but have won two of three. Winning in Philadelphia was going to be tough. KC is always tough, much less on the third game in eleven days. None of this is at all surprising. They are a good team, but not elite.
Thier not that good plain and simple not a scary offense at all and the defense isn’t good enough to slow elite teams that’s it
