This is a good move by the Leafs. They didn’t want to lose him, but due to injury conditions he had to clear waivers to remain with the Marlies. Got to be loaner for organization that originally sighned him to his entry level contract. Not a bad career so far for being undrafted from a small west end US town. Deserves a shot to stick on big clubs roster and now will get the chance to play way back into lineup after freak training camp injury.
