  3. Thanks dudes for answering my Cozens questions. It feels kind of similar to the “Jiricek sweepstakes” that we just went through and lost to the Wild. Whatever the outcome, I hope the Preds get the best pieces to head into next season.

  4. Cozens is a good player but I’m not entirely convinced that Barry Trotz should compound some bad offseason decisions by making another risky trade. We aren’t making the playoffs. This team is going to be another year older. Barry needs to keep all his picks and get the young guys some run the rest of the year—this season is lost. Cozens isn’t making this team a playoff team. The problem has always been center depth and if you are trading Novak—once again the team is still not addressing the main issue of the center position. Plus, this team is old!!! Now, the organization has multiple picks in 2025 (3 1s and/or including a number 1 or 2 in the draft possibly). There are some talented players in the draft but not any “franchise” altering talent. Keep the flexibility, trade Nyquist and O’Reilly (get what you can get) cut your losses and revisit the direction of the franchise in the offseason.
