How The Marlins Dismantled Two Dynasties
The Marlins became the fastest expansion team in MLB history to win the World Series after Edgar Renteria hit a walk-off single in game 7 of the 1997 World Series and they followed that by going on a fire sale to cut on costs, but they gained pieces for their next run in 2003 when they beat the Cubs in the NLCS then Josh Beckett pitched a shutout in game 6 of the 2003 world series against the Yankees, and again, they followed that by going on a fire sale disappointing fans for years to come.

As a marlins fan I didn’t grew up watching the marlins in 97 or 03 because I wasn’t born but I do remember people always told me that both teams were very stacked and then for some reason the year after they decided to trade everyone good instead of keeping the same core smh. Otherwise we could’ve won more championships if we did that. Now being a marlins fan for almost 10 years now we’re the same team we were in 03 and 97 before like being bad but the ownership has been the problem and I do hope we get an owner that does spend money and helps the Marlins win like how the Mets are doing now. Also hope that if we do get a new owner our attendance goes up and that we make the right moves but I trust Bendix to help the my team be more competitive in the coming years.
Trading Moises alou was an awful idea lol. I laugh at the marlins now. Grew up an hour from Joe robbie stadium. Never forgive them for the dismantling of the 97 team.
You should do a video of either the best players to play in the negro leagues or a career and life video on Josh Gibson( if the fact that he has a total of 1k home runs is true idk he’s my goat)
Todd Zeile is pronounced Zeal or like how you say seal, great video still
It's sad how the Marlins have never had a good owner in their existence. If they had even one ownership group willing to invest into the team without ulterior motives, they'd have even more than two titles.
Ha that says fire sale on the thumbnail? I was confused af😂maybe I'm just blind/dumb lol
I'm not even a Marlins fan but shit like this breaks my heart as a fan of baseball. I am so sorry Marlins fans.
I was in 3rd grade when the Marlins, my local team, won the world series. It felt amazing and i loved baseball. Boy did my heart get stomped on. Started playing soccer.
There are some GREAT baseball channels on YouTube that I thoroughly enjoy. Your channel is top tier without a doubt. It is a shame your subscriber and view count is not out of this world. Keep up the grind and your hard work and talent will pay off. Too good not to pay dividends.
2 championships 6 years a part does not make a dynasty.
I was always like WTF why didn’t they run it back and actually give the team a chance to make $ and earn new fans
It made no sense how Marlins were run .
They could have made themselves a Great Team with millions of fans had they run it back
Well maybe not the 1st 1 but the 2nd 1 was young enough to run it and let Florida peoples come out to support a Winner
Just proof it’s all scripted out though
Only reason there’d be strike zones like that especially when Braves always got those ridiculous zones until all of a sudden it was for the Marlins and then Braves get upset
Only reason it would be like such for upsets and then destroy it
I learned something today. I had no idea John Henry owned the Marlins before he owned the Red Sox. I've been a Sox fan since 1995 when I was 9.
Add another to the mix, Severino was wrongfully fired. Should've been the bore instead. Worst commentators ever: Kirk Gibson, Matt Shepard, Joe Buck. George Blaha, Johnny Kane, Greg Kelser, Jason Strayhorn, Ken "The Hawk" Harrelson, Fred McLeod, Austin Carr, Tom Hamilton, Marv Albert, Brent Musburger, Chris Fowler, Kirk Herbstreit, Ralph Lawler, Grant Napear, and Mike "Doc" Emerick. Best commentators ever: Ken Daniels, Mickey Redmond, Mario Impemba, Paul Severino, Rod Allen, Neil Funk, Adam Amin, Stacey King, Gary Thorne, Bill Clement, Al Michaels, Mike Tirico, Cris Collinsworth, Don Orsillo, Dave O'Brien, Dennis Eckersley, Jerry Remy, Dick Bremer, Bert Blyleven, Jason Benetti, Steve Stone, Pat Hughes, Ron Coomer, Len Kasper, Jim Deshaies, Bill Land, Sean Elliot, Gene Peterson, Jim Foley, Todd Kalas, Geoff Blum, Bob Fitzgerald, Jim Barnett, Kelenna Azubuike, Frank Beckmann, Jim Brandstatter, Dan Dierdorf, Joe McConnell, Johnny Most, Chick Hearn, Joel Meyers, Bill Macdonald, and Stu Lantz.
I would not consider Cleveland a dynasty
You should make a video of the top ten best mlb hitting duos
Thumbnail wasn’t super clear what is was saying, F and I are a little too close
“The ARE Sale”
being a Marlins fan is 99% suffering and 1% hope
In 97’ they brought the chip … that 03’ squad was stacked….
Slow down!
Did you call JT Snow "Jeff Snow"?
Good video. It's pronounced Todd Zeal. Zeile. Lol.
Very good video, though your pronunciation of a couple of players is off.
Todd Zeile (Zeel)
Ugeth Urbina (Ur bean uh)
Those are the two that stood out to me.
Because they have been cheap bastards from Day One!
This video was lazily made, you need to hire an editor
