The Texas Rangers signed reliever Chris Martin to a 1-year deal this week. The Arlington native and former Ranger wanted to pitch closer to home in what will be his final MLB season.
Former Ranger Kirby Yates had an incredible first season in Texas and would be an ideal closer to move Chris Martin to a setup role, but to make room under the luxury tax Jon Gray may need to be traded.

I don't like the luxury tax. I don't understand punishing teams for trying to win and rewarding the teams that aren't.
They still need a real closer a trade for helsley would be the icing on the cake
