Love that you asked him about him and NESN assignments. They never address the chaotic role changes over there. He's a great dude.
I really don't get what the hold up on bringing up Matthew Poitras is
What exactly do the Bruins have that they could trade??? Certainly not picks or prospects.
They don't need another forward that plays small. They need speed and balls and aggression up front
Carlo, Freddy and first round pick could do it.
Oh, this trade for Elias Pettersson or JT Miller nonsense… Exactly that, nonsense
1Cs almost never come up for trade as teams rarely trade them or let them get to free agency
Half or more of the league would be in on Pettersson and or JT Miller if they would be made available for trade
More than half of the league has better roster players, better prospects, better draft capital and a better future Salary Cap situation than the Boston Bruins do
Thus there is no universe where the Boston Bruins would be the high bidder for either Pettersson or JT Miller, so lets just stop with that fantasy.
Itâs pointless to discuss it because the best package the Bruins could offer would be something like Poitras, Carlo, Letorneau and a future 1st and again, at least half the NHL could and would beat that offer
And also stop with the Machand, Pasta, E.Lindholm, H. Lindholm or Zadorov going the other way in any potential Pettersson or JT Miller deals.
All make too much money, have too much term and have full NTCs. Those guys arenât going anywhere, so come up with real solutions to this mess Bruins homers
Vancouver would have no interest in Geekie, Brazeau, Wahlstrom, Mclaughlin,Beecher Koepke or Max Jones in any Pettersson or JT Miller deal
Whatâs Trent Frederic worth? A bag of pucks and a 4th round pick?
Coyle, Zacha and Carlo all could be moved as each only has an 8-10 team NMC and none of the three have too much term of money left on their deals
However, do you really think Vancouver values any of those guys to the degree theyâd move Eliast Pettersson or even JT Miller for them?
Doesnât seem like it
The only Bruins forward prospects of any value Lysell, Poitras, Merkulov and Letoroneau.
Of the four, only Poitras would probably be of any real interest to Vancouver as Lysell and Merkulov are depressed assets that have proven nothing and Letorneau is just wild card, raw 3-5+ years away player today
Other than that two guys with no trade protection in Lorhei and Swayman (Swaymanâs NTC doesnât kick in until the 2026-27 season) could theoretically be moved.
Lohrei canât play defense very well and it seems next to impossible to believe that the Bruins would move Swayman right now or that even some team would want him the way heâs played since getting paid this off season
Again, half the NHL or more would be in on Elias Pettersson and or JT Miller if both were made available for trade and most of those organizations if not all of them, would have better assets to give Vancouver than Boston does
So it's already time to move on from this trade for Elias Pettersson and or JT Miller stuff
As again, at least in terms of the Boston Bruins, itâs just flat out nonsense and not even remotely based in reality
Kadri
Coyle, geekie,v carlo macavoy for starters. Bring back bergeron give him any amount he wants đ˘
they cant keep giving up picks every year.. this year is a bit of a wash..
so sell off some players like frederic and coyle possibly get a pick or 2 and a few of the filler players for whatever.
then bring up the kids and let them play, they cant do any worse than this..
Face it Lindholm is too slow for a #1 center. He is too slow for the Power Play. Bruins need to downgrade the overpaid players like Lindholm.
VAN is right on the edge of making the playoffs. They're not going to give up a legit scorer.
Bring up the players from Providence and let them play. They canât do worse than lose 6 in a row. They might show they can take someoneâs job for way less money than 11 mil or 8 mil
NO MORE EUROPEANS !
I Agree no more softies.. overpaid players. Miller would insert some much needed grit and give them more offense.
Razor can play golf.
Great guest Evan!
raycroft is a gutless commentator. keep being a bruin management bootlick.
With what assets? The reality is it doesnât take much for a GM to get fired and in my eyes one bad off-season that puts the team in a terrible position is more than enough. Don Sweeney should not be allowed to trade away the little in-house talent we have on his way out the doorâŚespecially not in order to desperately save his job by prioritizing barely scraping into the playoffs
This team is full of 3rd and 4th liners. They need to move players in exchange for quality draft picks, whoever those players may be. Beyond anything else, Jacobs needs to put someone in charge of structuring a proper rebuild.
I love having Razor around all the podcast stuff. I wish more Bruins alum would get on the podcast with you guys. Tuukka would be awesome!
True fans seen through rask and chara.many of us see through pastercrap and mclvoy.bruins better not hire another coach from Quebec. The French here in Canada despise the bruins,I fought a few of those toilets. Go bruins go and quit figure skating and take the man finish the checks and let your goalie do his job
Was Razor insinuating 88 will go to the rafters? I assume thatâs who he was mentioning as the â2ndâ behind MarchandâŚ.. Iâm legit baffled that he said that seriously pasta is no where close to being immortalized as a Boston bruin, and if they did that with just what he had done up to date itâs a insult to every player up there
Also every person who follows the league knew exactly what was going to happen signing Elias, he ainât bruins material in the least, soft and just a mid player who we paid like a stud, Sweeney legit should be fired just from that desperation move because we needed a center a bad what a joke
I wouldnt mine Petterson young plus he's only scoring 10G .. so it's hard with surroundings he's has . Put him with Pasta be awesome . Both be legit . Sometimes we need scoring even u have some D . Let's see Sweeney does
