The Dallas Stars Search for Scoring without Roope Hintz and others in 3-1 to Montreal Canadians
The Dallas Stars fall at home to the Montreal Canadians by a final score of 3-1 despite scoring first in the opening five minutes by Jason Robertson. On today’s episode of Locked On Stars, Joey Erickson breaks down the Stars loss and shares how he thought the Stars played exactly how we expected them to play. Jake Oettinger had to be sharp and the big guns for Dallas had to produce but were unable to produce enough. The more worrying trend is the Stars power play on home ice that is ranked last in the NHL. The good news is the disappointment on the man advantage comes from a different place than it was a few months ago. In the final segment, we take a look at the Stars back-to-back on the weekend versus Colorado and Detroit and how Dallas biggest issues right now without Roope Hintz, Mason Marchment, and Tyler Seguin is scoring.

Otter held them in, and was the 3rd Star of the game!
So frustrating to watch them not get a goal on the Power play! 🙁
I just don't get this team. How can a contender have such an abhorrent PP especially at home?? Why is this defense still struggling to "find it's footing" and still turning the puck over in their own offensive zone? 90% of the time if they turn it over in their end or anywhere near the blue line it ends up in a 2 on 1 or 2 on 0 and a goal against. These two glaring issues must be addressed and fixed asap or they are a one and done joke.
VGK fan here and I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the weak PP is something we were all too accustomed to while DeBoer was at the helm in Vegas!!!
What I notice is it look like David and Goliath with our third and fourth lines especially. Miss Marchment
The PowerPlay is gonna be what keeps him from winning a cup this year
They didn’t look that bad vs Montreal to be honest, kinda back to the beginning of the season when they didn’t have a finishing touch. Montreal really felt like they only had 1 good line and 1 good pair of defensemen. I don’t think Montreal looked very good, which makes the loss worse
