The fact that Sasaki mentions something like ‘stability of the front office’, he wants to make it VERY CLEAR the Padres had a decent chance, otherwise he wouldn’t have even brought it up. Not to mention, the fact that the reporters question mentioned nothing about front office or ownership and he just throws ‘stability’ in there, it tells you he wanted to get this out there.

Roki was afraid of not being a big deal back home, so he teamed up with Ohtani and Yamamoto on a team that has spent more money than anyone in baseball history. He led other teams on in a Lebron-style campaign only to burn the Padres and the Blue Jays while taking shots at them later. Hope the Friar Faithful will let him know each and every time we see him.
