That shootout was fuck8ng pathetic! All of the shoorters…didnt shoot.and wtf with letting up goals in last minute of periods??? Sick of it, make some trades, get a damn goal scorer, enough already. Im sick of whating this. Make a fucking trade.
Throughout history, countless players have been accused of similar things, but none have experienced so much public hatred. And everyone is both a prosecutor and a judge, and everyone knows everything. Better take a look at yourself in the mirror.
Fire Sweeney, trade Katie
Okey my opinion here is some kind of retool/buyers… everyone who knew something about hockey understand that NHL is business so Pasta, Marchand, McAvoy and Swayman are untouchable (probably)… But there are holes and to fill them we have to sacrifice something… I can see trading Coyle (i like his leadership, he is a role model, a local guy and all of these stuff, but we can get something in return). What is his market value right now? Is tossing Coyle and Carlo/Peeke enough for Vancouver to gave up on JT Miller? or Coyle + pick for Boeser? That will solve 1C (JT) or 2nd RW (Boeser). Is that upgrade? For me absolutely (we have to pick up offense). Next trading partner is gonna be NYR I guess. Can we pull a trigger on Kreider, who will be exactly the similar (in mentality and leadership) to JT Miller? Go for it… what will be the price? Coyle/Zácha + 3rd, or they prefer D and we could send Hampus Lindholm and got something extra? There is another ranger who could move out Manthattan (Ziba). I think, if the team wants Ziba it would be an overpayment… Is Chytil ready to serve as top 6C? to sum up we need to bring 2 top 6 forwards… (JT, Kreider/Boeser is my best option). What it is gonna cost? Coyle, one D of Carlo/Lindholm/Peeke, Zácha and 1 or 2 draft picks? Fine… our top 6 will be loaded. Next step should be bringing Poitras long term and also Merkulov/Lysell I guess. Kids needs to play… Look at NYR, they had their kids line, its pretty common to have loaded top 6 and keep your young guns on 3rd. They need to develop on NHL lvl not beeing dumped in AHL forever… We can also move some guys to keep draft picks (i ve spent on adding C and W to top 6).: Frederic, Geekie, Brazeau have some value (can we got for them like 1st, 2nd and 2x 3rd) Go for it…
Kreider, Lindholm,Pasta (Zácha, Geekie gone)
Marchand, JT, Poitras (Coyle, Brazeu gone)
Merkulov, Beecher, Lysell (Fredie gone)
Koepke, Kastelic, Wahlstrom
McAvoy, Zadorov
Carlo, Lohrei (Lindholm gone)
Peeke, Oesterle/Wotherspoon
these transactions will lead to keep a team competitive, younger players will have room and guys like JT and Kreider are guys who are good addition for PO grit, leadership and experiences for younger guys (a 3rd kid line). Also it reliefs a cap space by – 7,075 mil (with AHL call up it is around -4mil). These money can be spent in the summer (and also cup space gonna raise, so we can find a big fish on a market). I am not saying that we are contender and after these moves we will become contenders… but we can fill holes, keep some draft picks, dont spend all in on rentals and let young kids to develop… Brazeau, Freddie and Geeks are not Hagels or Verhaeghes and probably are not a pieces who will win you a CUP (as much i like em, we cant afford guys like this on 3rd line spot if we have guys in Poitras, Merkulov, Lysell, Kuntar or Lettieri… )
The show is better with just you, Ian. No offense to Katie.
Lucic was probably nominated by the same guy who picked Mitchell Miller from Coyotes
i've always loved your podcast.i'm 61 been a bruins fan since 72. do we really need to bring wokeness into this…………(she /her)…….it's pretty obvious, she's female
I love watching the highlights of the Providence games but I wish they showed the score and had sound.
Great show,Bruins have chance to get back going with Sway!
The quarter century team is about players, skill and hockey. Lucic, for his personal off ice faults, you cannot deny, that he has been an essential part of Bruins winning the cup and being an important part of the on ice performance.
I'm not a regular listener, but I gather Katie is a special guest.
While shes cute, and speaks with a good cadence, I don't really find her comments or opinions to be helpful or enlightening.
She seems like a nice person, but I'm not sure what she adds to the podcast.
I love your podcasts when you have guests on with you, Ian. I'm happy to discover Katie today, even if I disagree with her thoughts on Swayman, whom I'm still mad at, lol.
Wow, I had no idea that choking was involved in the case with Lucic. Research shows that women who were choked (even if not killed) by their partner have a 750% increased possibility of being killed by that man in a future domestic violence incident.
Wild how lucic is still followed by : marchand, pasternak, chara, both lindholms, freddy, sway, zadorov, mcavoy. Must truly be an awful person who deserves the worst. He was the most deserving player for that 2nd team and disagreeing is just pandering and asinine. Sad.
Katie Bogan so cool HOT af & TOP 5 OUTTA STATE BS FAN FOR SURE …SHES A GREAT GUEST …
