[Buccigross] Boston University has a goalie. Mikhail Yegorov, a 2nd from pick of the @NJDevils last summer, looks like a legit talent in his #cawlidgehawkey debut. 6’5″ and quick. He’s playing very well vs #1 Boston College tonight. 1-0 BC in 2nd (on ESPN+)

  3. Saved 23/24 in a 2-0 L. The only goal he allowed was 24 seconds in off a PP. The PP was given because his team sent him on for his rookie lap 30 seconds before they were allowed to be on the ice.

  4. That’s from Buccigross, who is a huge hockey fan, broadcaster and someone who is and/or consults with experts all the time. It’s one game, but it’s also following a successful time in the ECHL. I believe is still 18 years old

    Outside of that BS goal 14 seconds in, he looked ***GOOD***.

    Great positioning, fast glove hand, made some incredible sprawling cross crease saves.

    There was one point where the BC fans started chanting “Thank you Russia!” and not 5 seconds into the chant Gabe Perrault (I think it was?) had a break away that Yegorov absolutely stoned him on with a split save. The crowd shut up pretty quickly after that.

    The 2nd goal in the 2-0 loss was on an empty netter, so aside from that early goal he was perfect.

    Total goaltending duel as well, Jacob Fowler, who is a Montreal prospect looked incredible too. Fowler played the night before AT BU (was at that game as well) where he made a ton of incredible saves and pretty much kept BC in the game until the 3rd when they finally opened up the scoring, and followed that up with a shut out in the second game. Look out for him in a few years.

  7. So is he a couple years behind of Malek in terms of prospects? Honestly not sure how this stuff works.
