NHL Recap

  1. I actually don’t think Chicago really lost all that much with the trade. Taylor Hall unfortunately is not at all the player he used to be. He’s injury prone, slower now, and is at the least a 5th round pick. So the fact KD was able to give Hall to get back their 3rd round pick is about as good as it could be. I know they’re retaining Raants salary but it’s only up till the end of this season which is only a few months left. Chicago didn’t lose as bad as they everyone may say.

  2. I am thoroughly convinced that people don't actually know how bad Ron Hextall screwed us during his time as our GM. Dubas has done a decent job in the time he's been here.

  3. Rempe scoring a backhander topshelf is a reminder that even the worst player in the NHL will put up 10 goals on your beer league team without a sweat.

  4. Avs fan here. Super bummed about the trade obviously but we just couldn't pay Mikko what him/his agent wanted. No way we can pay him more than Mac and Cale, so we had to get something out of it. You don't have this game in your breakdown but Sunday's game vs the Rangers made me optimistic with Necas getting two point and seeing signs of what he can bring with ringing 3 of the post as well as Drury scoring a goal and providing depth which the Avs need make me a little less sad. Think both will be a good fit on the Avs

  5. Be honest, what do you think Taylor Hall is worth? After watching him play all year, a high 3rd round pick seems like the most anybody could've gotten out of him.

  6. Not that anyone cares – nor should they given where the Hawks are right now – but they really didn’t lose much. They didn’t win for sure, but they were gonna have to retain on Hall anyway and likely best offer was a low 3rd rounder. So they retained on Rantanen, threw in Hall, and got their pick back from the Canes – a high third rounder (it was the Hawks pick originally so it’ll be one of the first 2 or 3 picks, basically a late second.). Hall isn’t much of a loss.

  7. Ticket prices are out of hand this year. Lower level tics for the caps last year were 150 or so witch isn't good but do-able. This year they are 220 witch is just getting out of hand

  8. As a vegas fan. Bettman pissed me off. These back to back double headers are wild. This is the 2nd or 3rd time this year we had back to backs followed by another set of back to backs. This dog water scheduling screams "ai generated"

  9. -it think the play offs should have all the teams name in a hat who made it and then have Ron McLain pick them out of the hat and those are the brackets, i dont like the fact the same teams from the same region have to constantly face each other all season long.

  10. Carolina only wins that trade if they win a Stanley cup if they weren’t able to keep Guentzel how on earth do you expect them to keep rantanen. There’s just not much to like about the trade for anyone because Necas is a free agent after next season.

  11. i'm sorry, my dude, but ALL ticket sites are bogus for games. saw the bedards versus the stars in chicago twice (i'm a stars fan stuck in illinois) and the fees alone were the price of a ticket. garbage.
