  1. Russ never had a good OC in Seattle, and Geno hasn't been any better than Russ. The Seahawks have missed the playoffs 2 years in a row and Pete Carroll got fired. Running Russ out of town hasn't worked out for Seattle.

Russ can still play. Give him an Oline that can protect, a running game that he can lean on, and WR talent/depth, and Russ is good for 4kyds and 30 TDs. The problem with the Steelers offense this year was personnel, not the QB. But they laid a foundation they can build on.

  2. This depends on the money. Fields is gonna want big money . Wilson might too. Both will require building a better team around them. Of course receivers will want Russ cuz his passing game is much better. They still need a better back than Harris and better OL. Either way, they both are replaceable and the sooner the better considering the nfc north’s competitiveness.

  3. If the Steelers are actually going to sign one but not both they should go with Justin Fields. I’m not a Fields fan per se. But it’s been rumored that Justin has agreed to wheel around Russell Wilson in a wheelchair if both are still in Pittsburgh next season.

  4. Justin Fields is a back-up, not a starter, they had to limit the offense with Fields in there because he can't read an NFL defense. In Fields 4 wins he threw 2 TD passes, in those four games, they won those games with defense and special teams, not Fields throwing the ball. As for him developing? He has started 44 games and still can't do the basics. If the Steelers want to compete with Pat Mahomes, Josh Allen, Lamar Jackson and Joe Burrow? Justin Fields is not the guy, move on.

  5. The background music sucks especially when I am making a playlist to go to sleep to. Can barely understand what they say sometimes without the music

  6. 4:20 Yea this is the odd part. Mike T sat Fields who was playing fairly well. Started Russ and Fields only saw like 15 snaps the rest of the year. And NOW they're gonna drop Russ for Fields? Why play Russ that whole time if you think Fields can develop into a bridge guy for the team? Were they hoping Russ is a legit SB guy? Because if so they're really stupid.

  7. Doesn’t matter who the Steelers QB is. That o-line is still horrible and has been since before Ben retired. Both Fields and Wilson were running for their lives behind this line the entire season. Until they fix the o-line, no QB is going to work.

  8. Please, NO MORE Russell Wilson in Pittsburgh! Justin Fields can be taught the RPO. It worked great for Jackson and Allen. Also, fake handoff and then QB runs are not doable with Wilson. He’s an old man. I can’t stomach another year of an aged QB

  9. Still not sure how we haven't brought in a guy like Frank Reich, who is well known to be an excellent QB mentor and coach. He would be great for Justin Fields.

  10. Fields QB1 ! Give that young man two consecutive years with the same HC and OC like he never had in Chicago. With better offensive weapons in Pittsburgh

  11. Click-Bait Running Backs playing QB do not win SB's. Justin cannot read a defense to save his life. You are just posing Steeler content to the clicks it worked but I am out at 1:45

  12. Justin is affordable and has unique untapped potential. Build the team. For crying out loud, the Steelers had a team that won 14 games with Kordell Stewart. Fields is a unique physical specimen. Create an offense through him that can try and beat the Ravens at their own game.

  13. Wilson will most likely end up being kept at a $20 million/2-3 year deal with the intention of taking a QB in either this year or next year’s draft mainly because nobody else will sign him to be a starter. Only way I see them going to Fields is if Wilson turns it down (which isn’t likely because where else is he going to go) and they most likely offer Justin a deal similar to one Baker Mayfield had in his first year with TB

  14. Stop the Fields "pie in the sky" hopes. Fields has proven in Chicago and Pittsburgh he is NOT QB1 material b/c he cannot consistently make downfield completions. Period.

  15. What offense do you want to run in PIT? A dual-threat Offense or a traditional Pocket-Passing Offense? Do you have the talent on Offense to have success with the selected Offense? One you know that, you know who should be your QB.

  16. You guys are the only analysts I've heard that remember that Caroll and Russ got ugly before he was traded to Denver. Everyone else thinks it is a natural fit for him to go to Vegas and I think that idea is nuts.

  17. We can't leave out the fact that both QBs will be also listening to offers and we have all seen what desperate teams have done to get a QB. They could end up getting neither QBs. Only 2 QBs in this years draft have 1st round ratings at this point.

  18. Fields is still young enough to have potential to be a pro bowl qb, IF he can grow into a better passer and pocket general, IF he has a pro bowl Oline, and IF he’s got a pro bowl RB — hopefully NH. Lots of IFs!!!

  19. Russell Wilson was selected to another Pro Bowl in 2024, doesn’t this means he is still a top 10 QB? He has played in 2 Super Bowls and won 1, has combined Super Bowls passer rating of 116.8 with TD-Int ratio 4-1, has 130 combined wins, he is a 10 X Pro Bowler with 5 legitimate MVP caliber seasons, has > 50K combined passing yards and 377 combined passing TD’s with < 6500 passing attempts, has career TD-Int ratio > 3-1 and a passing rating of ~ 100, has ~ 6K combined rushing yards and 34 rushing TD’s.

Russell Wilson has started in 199 regular season and 17 playoff games. Experience, ability to throw accurate deep balls, and glimpses of vintage Russell Wilson this season proves Russell Wilson could still be an elite QB.

    Russell Wilson’s career narrative

“Legion of Boom” era for the Seattle Seahawks is generally considered to have ended around 2015, as this was the last season where their defensive core of Richard Sherman, Earl Thomas, and Kam Chancellor were all playing at a high level together and the team maintained their defensive dominance across the league; marking the end of their peak performance as a unit. In the 6 seasons following the Legion of Boom, Russell Wilson had W-L-T 58-35-1, TD-Int 186-53, (3) 4 thousands yards passing seasons, 2259 rushing yards, 11 rushing TD’s and led the Seahawks to 4 playoff appearances while putting up MVP caliber statistics. Statically notable years at Seattle: 2015 TD-Int 34-8, 2017 TD-Int 34-11, 2018 TD-Int 35-7, 2019 TD-Int 31-5, 2020 TD-Int 40-13 while competing over 65% of passes and having a QB rating over 100.

Russell Wilson’s 2 seasons in Denver: TD-Int 42-19, 618 rushing yards, 6 rushing touchdowns, Comp % 63.3, 7 4QC, 7 GWD. Russell Wilson had incompetent Nathaniel Hackett in his 1st year and bigoted Sean Payton in his 2nd year.

Wilson’s 2024 season with Steelers: TD-INT 16-5 (3:1), completion % 63.7, 2482 passing yards, 155 rushing yards and 2 rushing touchdowns. Playoff loss vs Baltimore: TD-Int 2-0, completion % 68.9, passer rating 121.3. Remember he started the season W-L 6-1 before going through the toughest schedule to end the season. Steelers had a terrible offensive line, only one top tier receiver who missed 3 games in the losing stretch and an overrated defense. He was therefore selected for his 10th Pro Bowl.
