  1. On the comment about what Xavier and Rice will do next year. Doesn't Rice still have to deal with the consequences of his accident he had in Dallas? I'm not sure the NFL is going to overlook that and not issue some type of discipline?? Willie from Terrell, TX. Let's go Chiefs! 3peat

  2. It’s so helpful and quite interesting to hear about life behind the scenes- the prep, meetings, filming, planning, must be overwhelming. Thanks for a peek GO CHIEFS

  3. Here's a story line no one has brought up yet. If they beat the Eagles the Chiefs will make NFL history in the same city they won their first Super Bowl in.

  4. DJ from Odessa, Missouri here. Proud to be a bulldog and a chief. Mitch you are the reason I fell in love with the chiefs. I used to watch the game and listen to Mitch. I hope to meet you in my lifetime. I was 9 years old watching Jamaal Charles score 5 touchdowns vs the raiders and remember every call of yours in that game.

  5. Joe Thuney for team MVP for sure. Nevertheless, it's kinda shame on Andy Reid and Brett Veach for boon-doggling the '24 Left O-Tackle situation. It still blows me away to think about how much success and football intelligence these two men have, and yet they completely failed in the off-season planning for this offensive line. Please make it make sense! Kingsley Sumuamataia… being a raw rookie charged with protecting Patrick's backside has to be considered nothing short of a blunder by both high-ranking chiefs' decision makers; and Wanya Morris is nothing short of wishful-thinking. I cannot understand how little importance and priority were associated with this entire situation. It's just plain mind-boggling. We're talking Patrick Mahomes here! πŸ€”

  6. To reemphasize and clarify the point about Thuney, offensive guard is not a high paid position (relative to other top pay positions). On the other hand, left tackle is a premium NFL position, perhaps top 3, for sure top 5 paid. It takes specialist skills to play left tackle. To have a guard slide over late in the season and not be "below average" at a specialist position is AMAZING. There are many amazing stories with the Chiefs, recognize how lucky we are.

  7. This Super Bowl is unique because almost all the players and coaches have been there before. The last time two teams that had each been to a Super Bowl within the prior three seasons met in another Super Bowl, regardless of whether or not they played each other in their prior trips, was 2014, when the Patriots beat the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX. Before that, it was 1993, when the Cowboys beat the Bills in Super Bowl XXVIII after having also beaten them the previous year, the only time in NFL history both conference champs repeated. It also happened in 1989 (49ers vs. Broncos), 1984 (49ers vs. Dolphins), 1983 (Raiders vs. Redskins), and 1978 (Steelers vs. Cowboys, another rematch).

  8. I am a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan for years. Mahomes is a very special person.
I am a 81 years old grandma who drives non KCChiefs people crazy. Only because the Chiefs make it easy for me !😊

  9. Think about it! The first National Football championships was in 1920. If the chiefs win their 3rd straight, the NFL may never see another 3peat in 100 years!.

  10. Eric checking in from New Orleans where we're gonna get it done next Sunday! Interesting tidbit: Tulane has put a general-use turf field (Brown Field) on the general site of the old Tulane Stadium grounds where Super Bowl IV would have been played. I played and practiced a few club sports on that field about a decade ago as a student at Loyola New Orleans across the street. I only realized years later I was more or less playing on the grounds of the Chiefs first Super Bowl. If you're at Tulane by the current Yulman Stadium (where I presume the team will be) it's the field on the other side the Reily Rec Center between the parking garage and tennis courts. Could be a great spot for some media!

  11. The Lord of the Lombardis Trilogy is about to be completed.
    Andy is Gandalf the Wizard
    Patrick is King Aragorn
Kelce is Samwise Gamgee–always there to hrlp and support his friends

All of the other teams are Gollum–they want the prize, but they can't have it. (I must admit, someone else came up with the Gollum reference.)

  12. Mitch and Matt, Jack here, as always, holding court for Chiefs Kingdom in Madera Ranchos, CA. I love all the storylines you guys brought to the show this week. Especially, the fact we are working out at Tulane. Not far from where the Chiefs won their first Super Bowl. It's not corny at all. Let's get it. 1 win away from history. GO CHIEFS!!!!!!

  13. That stat about Thuney's performance at LT this season is absolutely remarkable! If only we could CTRL + C/ CTRL + V him 5 times. Dude could play anywhere on the line and probably be "good"
