  2. I honestly hate this trade for Dallas. But I also don't like Ceci or Granlund. Dallas needs a real top four RD not another bottom pairing RD.

  5. This trade will make Sharks sink further in second half of season, and signals another tank strategy. Dallas's first round pick would be around 26th overall given current standings but that is always determined by playoff results. Ceci was steady but too slow and not good at exiting defensive zone. Granlund has been the best Shark forward for last 2 seasons and should do well in Dallas if he is not injured and gets to play with better linemates. Sharks are already fighting Chicago for last place and pick #1 in 2025 and this trade along with Blackwood trade will make it even more likely Sharks win the race to the bottom and wait for luck in the lottery for #1. This move should create more icetime for Tyler Toffoli and rookies like Will Smith.

  6. Underwhelming for SJ. The 1st round pick will be way down in the order because Stars are a good team. They're 6th overall now. I get SJ trading two older players and they're rebuilding, even though Granlund is their leading pointgetter. But imo they could have received better, especially at the trade deadline. SJ might’ve been worried that they wouldn’t be able to make a trade at the deadline and they’d lose both players to free agency.

  7. This is a a good trade for the @sanjosesjarks, gives them another 1st they can use or trade, and gives them the ability to bring up some of their younger players from AHL to develop together for the future.

  8. Granlund is having a great season! He brings a lot of experience, intelligence and skill. Good move by the Stars. Nice to see what he can do in a really competitive team in the playoffs.

  12. I could see Granlund doing really well in Dallas!
    I’ve been a fan of Dallas for the last few years. They’ve been drafting and developing well and also making good signings
