Orlando Magic’s struggles start with their stars… but they need help

The Orlando Magic’s struggles continued with a 113-99 loss to the Utah Jazz where every facet of their game failed to deliver.

The Magic lean on their two star players to lead the way and be the driving force of their offense. When they struggle as they have in spots since returning from injuries, the Magic’s flaws come out. Even in a game where Franz Wagner scored 37 points.

That is going double on the defensive end where the Magic have taken a major step back on defense since Jalen Suggs’ injuries hit. Orlando is playing at an energy deficit and must find their way out.

  1. When Paolo got hurt we lost 5 in a row
He just hit 5 games back takes a minute for chemistry and to gel

    Here we go
    Off and running
    🤘💙🤘

  2. It's a Mickey Mouse ball club, it's sewn right into their jerseys.

This franchise along with a few others have no real intention to ever win. They play it fairly safe, make sure the ad and tv revenue keeps freely flowing, but they aren't really going to extend themselves by paying out much unless a clear deal comes along. They use corporate speak like "team building" to overlook glaring flaws they know are there on the roster, but don't have all that much ambition to really fix. After they got burnt on that Arenas deal they pretty much clamped up on big trades or seeking out expensive free agents.

  3. We have now entered a move has to be made time. There’s no more excuses. The team is what it is. I don’t want to hear about our defense. The offensive issues are real. They aren’t going away when healthy. I also think P5 is sending a message. He doesn’t want to be responsible for the entire offense. He said so last year and now he’s showing frustration. Don’t respond and watch how quickly this gets ugly. And by ugly I mean he wants out

  4. You are downplaying how frustrating it has to be for P5/Franz to create open looks that lead to bricks. No team, even if it’s their identity, wants to have to play defense 100% just to stay in games. The problem is the roster. It was the roster when we were winning using smoke and mirrors and it’s a problem when we’re getting throttled by bottom dwellers. There’s too much falling on P5/Franz

  5. Not to mention we’ve said for years now we’re a team that wins by committee. You are changing that to making this a star problem. It’s not. It’s the roster. 100%. You and media should be applying pressure on weltman to address the shooting. Putting it on P5 and Franz is how you lose superstars. That’s all this organization has shown competency for tbh

  6. No the shooting is a bigger issue than the defense. It’s not even close lol. The shitty shooting might be negatively impacting the defense, but we’re the worst offense in the league. That’s the issue. Let’s be clear

  7. “We know the offense is just not gonna be good”. Yeah that’s on the GM. Everyone has know this for years. You used the word obvious….so why are we talking about everything else??
