Photo of John Seidler in Padres gear from the playoffs last year. Just to put everyone's mind at ease a little bit

  1. It’s nice to see Padres gear on our new control person. Please care about this team and your brothers legacy John.

  2. Don’t really know what to think of him being the new control person. At the very least it wasn’t his wife and son wearing those ~~convicted felon costumes~~ dodger jerseys

  3. A funny irony to me is I have never seen him before, so wouldn’t even know if that was really him or not. I think now that he was approved he needs to speak on behalf of the team.

  4. Let’s hope he can get things back in gear for the Padres. All the family fighting and drama was getting old in the way of focusing on team improvement.

  5. If he spends money to get the Padres as good as they can be, then it’ll wipe away any of the critics and doubters arguments

So please spend money to help us win

  6. According to Acee on his podcast, he saw him at several games over the past two seasons. He said he’s seen more of him than he had Sheel at the ballpark.

  7. What was his real job before this? 100% will give the benefit of doubt to him. As fans we sometimes forget that these are people too. My brother passed 6 yrs ago, I still have days where it gets rough. I don’t care how many lawyers someone has, moving into someone else’s legacy is hard, trying to figure out how to honor that person’s legacy and make good business decisions, has to be pretty crazy. Don’t care if they have more money then they can ever spend, still lose socks in the dryer, still make dumb choices, still have good days and bad days. The players seem to think Padres will compete, Cease does NOT want to leave, listen to what they are saying. Ownership doesn’t play the game, the players do.

  8. Everyone ready to burn it down. Screaming to sell the team. Then they see a picture of grandpa wearing Pads gear and it’s all good. The Internet is crazy. Love it.

  9. He looks like a tubby Brian Wilson and I’m super here for it.

I hope he cares for the team as much as Peter did. No fire sale please.

See you all on opening day

  10. I really hope he does well in control person position. Please John, for the love of baseball, be good to our Padres!!!
