If the NFL wants to squeeze more games onto the schedule, they should host a tournament and the winner gets the first pick in the draft. It can be the bottom four or bottom six teams that enter the tournament bracket. These games could be played in the middle of the week between playoff games. Winner of the bracket gets first pick, second place, second pick and so on and so forth. Worst two teams get a bye if it’s the bottom six teams. May not be the best brand of football, but it will add games to the schedule, and add intrigue for the worst teams. It would also curve the notion of tanking.
