3. I thought that what Russ brought that was needed this year was senior leadership for the offense. Did he fall through with that as well, or was the problem that he just was trying to recapture his youth?

6. This team has big problems and it starts with the coaches. The quarterbacks were frankly one of the few bright spots this year.

   It’s obvious you want JF to be QB1, but pinning the 5 game skid on Russ is nonsense.
   The run, run, pass scheme was awful. The offensive tackles couldn’t pass protect. Both gave up 10+ sacks.
   You complained all season about a weak WR room. Maybe Russ held the ball because WRs couldn’t get any consistent separation.
   Near the bottom of the list in YPC and 1st down yds.
   And don’t even point a finger at the defense giving up 300yds rushing in a playoff game while playing Nickel vs Ravens heavy set.
   IMO the main reason this team got 10 wins was Russ’s deep ball.

8. If Russell Wilson didn't play well what do You call Fields 😂😂😂😂😂. The man that threw 1 td to a Wr in 6 games, that fumbled in every game all the way back to preseason, that passed into the middle of the field in 6 games less than Wilson did in 2 games, and that has never won a game in his entire career if His Defense allows over 21 points. So all in all, if Russell Wilson sucks, what does that make Fields????

9. DK, you sound as giddy as a school girl. I don't understand your fascination with Fields. He played 6 Kenny Pickett type games with Pickett like decisions and results. Russ was so much better.

27. Russ was holding the ball to long & he really pissed me off when he didn’t call the timeout after he ran at the end of the 2nd bengals & rushed another play instead of calling timeout!!!!

30. So let me get this straight. The coaching staff is angry with Russ because he put up career stats vs the Bengals and the team scored 44 points…..and they're mad at him for changing the plays and running an offense that worked.

35. Such a BS take. Tomlin has to scapegoat his QB every year. No QB would be good in this offense. Tomlin's teams can't block or tackle. They can't run the ball or stop the run but it's the QB. Why would anybody want to play for him in this offense. BTW, Ben wasn't allowed to check out of plays under Canada either.

36. I will do everything I can to tamp down my excitement for the 25th best (at best) QB in football. That’s #2, Justin Fields. Normally I would say I trust the Steelers to make that determination. Today, I find it difficult to consider them a stalwart organization any longer. “The Standard is the Standard.” Today better known as “Better than Average is all that Matters.” They’re not inspirational, their attitude doesn’t aspire to Championship level football. Since Art Rooney doesn’t know what to do, as a fan, I do! It starts with the $500-$1,000 a year I’ve been spending on Steelers related things. That’s done. It would be terrible if I had to phase this team out of my life completely, but all things eventually come to an end. I did it with baseball, then basketball.
