Gleyber Torres and Brian Cashman had a notable disagreement over Torres’s position on the field. Cashman intended for Torres to move to third base when the Yankees acquired Jazz Chisholm Jr. from the Marlins, but Torres resisted the change, preferring to stay at second base, which led to Chisholm learning third base instead. This tension was reignited when Cashman publicly discussed this in an interview, prompting Torres, now with the Tigers, to respond via a since-deleted social media post, expressing his desire to move on from the issue. Meanwhile, Shohei Ohtani’s former interpreter, Ippei Mizuhara, faced legal troubles after being arrested for activities that were not specified but led to significant legal repercussions. Shifting focus to baseball transactions, the Cleveland Guardians have been active in preparing for spring training by inviting Vince Velasquez as well as former first rounder pick Kolby Allard, both of these pitchers are trying to follow in the footsteps of 2024 Matthew Boyd.

  1. I think I can speak for the majority of Yankees fans when I say we have a love/hate relationship with Gleyber, or maybe love/frustration, hate is a little too strong. He's great when he's great, he has a ton of talent, he's just inconsistent, he makes mental errors, he lacks situational hitting, and his defense is sub-par. But man he has fast hands, if he just worked on filling in his weaknesses, he could be a star, he has great natural power and makes a lot of solid contact. He was great at leadoff late last year, but I don't think that would have lasted forever, his strategy was basically "take everything until I have to swing". Pitchers would have figured it out. I wish him the best and hope he kills it in Detroit, they look poised to have a good season. But I'm not too upset about him leaving NY.

  2. Josh Donaldson is an MVP he has been playing this game over 10yrs the time when he was a Yankee & he is better than Gio, a lot!. So far I agree what Cashman is saying. Donaldson is just a mean guy, its why MLB don't like him & during his time with the Yankees when he has a rough couple weeks the media will say "he should hang up the cleats already"? like why? Arenado, Bregman or Machado struggles like a month or more but media never tells them to quit (no disrespect to the 3 players i mention) but the point is Josh Donaldson deserves better than what ppl are saying to him, just becuz hes not hitting doesn't mean hes a bad player, every player struggles like him & MLB should've tried giving him a shot at the WS before he retired. I'm not a big fan of MLB anymore becuz i believe its a rigged league & theres no real superstars anymore

  3. Keep your idiotic rants to yourself Fuzzy!
You crucified Trevor Bauer even though he's been proven innocent.
Sorry I couldn't save your brain from making asinine decisions

  4. How about if Cashman actually traded for an actual 3B player instead of calling out a 2B for not wanting to change positions? Or trading Torres away? The roster construction is his responsibility and it is not the players job to fix it for him.
