  4. FINALLY we get to see the players on the field proving how great they are instead of being told how great they are. The proof is in the pudding. We have seen them get through the season and into the postseason 3 out of the last 5 years. The issue has been no deep runs in the playoffs. We want to praise the 93 wins and totally forget about 24 scoreless innings. I’m looking forward to swing these players earn their paychecks when performance matters the most. The flagship and front office can hype up Diaz, Joe, and Heyward to sell tickets. The key will be to follow them throughout the season and hopefully into a long deep playoff run. WC series wins haven’t helped us financially. Neither has sellouts and record attendance. We’ve done our jobs. Now let them do theirs. Earn the money. Reward the faith.

  5. Its obvious to me BEN , its XANDER BOGAERTS AND MATT WALDRON, will xander finally play exceptional baseball?? And can matt Waldron EARN the 5th starter in rotation ?? also its not bad to have Jason Heyward bat bottom with some R.I.S.P. Im not mad at that. , but its xander and Waldron the obvious two players to look at in spring training..

  7. Way to optimistic. No depth to have someone step up like last season while underperformers rear their normal ways. Was hoping to see a Cease deal with Balt. for that Heston Kjerstad kid. Esp since we will NOT sign both King and Cease next year.

  8. I still see the Padres finishing second and making the postseason. I don't see Arizona keeping pace for a third year in a row, Giants are an organization in limbo and the Rockies are a pit of nothingness.
