LOL Gibson isn't any better than Skinner.
This is such crazy talk. Yes we need to upgrade in goal but Gibson hasn't been good in 4 years and isn't even the starter on his own team. What are we doing here, and why are people so focused on Gibson?
Realistically we must wait until the summer to sort out whats going on in net. And we need to do much better than Gibson, lol.
Needs? Goaltending is a lower need? Than.. what? Oilers should aim for Vejmelka. A Skinner/Vejmelka is a more solid tandem than Skinner/Pickard.
what has Skinner ever show for us to place so much trust in him?
I get it. Issue is cap space and the uncertainty with Kane's LTIR situation. If the team goes after Gibson, they'll likely have to lose Stu to make the cap space. Top of that, the team needs D depth and bottom 6 depth.

27 yrs old 6"0 196 lbs Luke Kunin right shot fwd – plays bottom 6 , can play all 3 positions. Can kill penalties, decent on his strong side for faceoffs not great on his weak side. Gritty sandpaper younger faster version of carrick .. not great advance metrics. 2.75 mil cap hit. So retain will be needed. Has 11 goals in 57 games. So 15-16 goals in the bottom 6 . Add more speed and grit to the line up. Big hitter and will drop the gloves.
