I think Zabel is a first round lock. Don’t see 50 but would be thrilled

i really don’t agree with taking a safety in round one unless he is on the level of Earl Thomas which Starks is not

No way that Zabel will be available at 50
Zabel is a first round lock. He was the best tackle at the senior bowl easily. I don’t see any scenario where he’s on the board at 50
Danny stutsman is 240+ and absolutely terrible in coverage. It would not be a great fit.
Flip these two picks. Zabel will not be there at #50. Also instead of Starks give me Nick Emmanwori. Better athlete, bigger, and is much more of the Kyle Hamilton mold than Starks. Starks greatly struggled in the slot this year. Emmanwori has the size to be utilized as a box safety, but also the athleticism to matchup with TEs. I just can't get behind taking a safety in round one, especially when Starks isn't some Earl Thomas, Eric Berry or Kyle Hamilton level of player. I liked Branch much more than I did Starks and he went in the second.
Should we draft jalon walker and skip out on paying EJ? Would jalon walker end up being the better nfl player & more physical athlete?
I'm not on the Zabel train like everyone else is. (looking at these comments) I don't like his build and I don't see how he will do well inside. You all realize he's 6'6" and 305 right? Maybe that can work at RT but an NFL-level DT or NT will put him on his ass too often for me.
I don't think I've seen a draft where Zabel was there at 50. Use a simulator make it realistic.
I could see Nick Emmanwori being the Seahawks pick in R1. Got some the Kam Chancelor and/or Kyle Hamilton vibes.
My only hesitation, HC has mentioned improving the backbone of the defense, DT, LB …. so a NT/DT could also be in play R1.
