Drafting someone Good in the 2nd round (mid) then putting them below people like Alec peirce (only Great at being a deep threat ) and an injured mpj is just so crazy. I also see him open down field but then he either drops it or gets overthrown.

Maybe those drops were why he was behind those guys.
I like the kid, and think he’s still got a shot at being really good – but his position on the depth chart wasn’t crazy.
Adonai Mitchell was absolute buns.
I hope he’s good. I think he was good value where we drafted him. To me, however, it was clear that he got more than his fair share of looks last season. That’s probably based on his ceiling, so I have no problem with it, but he needs to step it up next season.
I saw the post. Looked at the upvotes, they stood at 0. I thought to myself, Appropriate.
Found ADs burner account!
I think Adonai has a case of the yips. He’s driven, fast, runs a great route… But he can’t keep it together in the big spot enough to pull in those catches.
I think it’s a rookie thing, and they’re developing him right by giving him the reps, but his position in the depth chart is appropriate until he can get it together consistently.
People have been ass year one and bounced back before. People have also been ass and stayed ass. I hope they get him right this offseason and look to find ways to get him going but it’s on him to earn it
This is so dumb. The guy was very unreliable as a rookie. He defintely quit on routes he didn’t need to quit on. He really seems to lack toughness. Something AP, Pittman and Downs have all shown.
I still like his upside but acting like his down year was due everyone else around him is just plain crazy. That said, he is BD (business decision) Mitchell to me until he proves otherwise.
Not to say he can’t turn it around, but I saw a lot more out of Pierce his rookie year than I did from AD (ironic considering the fanbase was completely out on Pierce until last season). I’m pretty low on him at the moment, but running good routes doesn’t matter if you can’t handle the contact or can’t complete the catch. All I hope is he significantly improves next season, same with AR.
The guy is extremely talented, but so is pretty much every other NFL WR. Seems that every roster has at least 1 wideout with tremendous talent, but who struggles to put that together on the actual field. AD might just be that guy for us at the moment.
It’s tough to judge him completely given the quarterback play (maybe his season goes differently if we hit those opportunities to him in Week 1) and the fact that Pittman/Downs/Pierce are all better players currently, but there were too many drops, business decisions, and lackadaisical plays for one to absolve AD of major responsibility for the way his season ended up going.

Sad. He couldn’t catch what AR couldn’t throw.
