BECAUSE of the cost – salary (even if back loaded) and draft picks which are gold. I didn't think K. Mack cost that much but if can get him for 20 mil – do it. I agree Haason would be worth it, up to 15 mil BUT only if character/attitude issues were confirmed not to be an issue. Then I would actually look at Dayo Odeyingo – solid player only expected to cost about 17 mil a year. Ideally – my solution to the edge/linebacker situation (and as insurance if Bobby Wagner were to get hurt – knock on wood he doesn't…) D. Odeyingo – 17/yr., K. Mack, 20/year, pick up Dre Geenlaw – 1 year 7 mil, 3 solid players/edge rushers for 42 mil. If Greenlaw pans out and is back to form – takes over B. Wagner. Odeyingo is solid on one side for year, hope K Mack stays healthy and productive for 2 – get his replacement through the draft. There's also talk of DeMarcus Lawrence possibly going for cheap – familiar with Quinn…maybe a 1 year deal for 5 or less. If we hit on 2 or 3, we come out ahead. Not a T. Higgins fan for the money.

5. Myles Garrett wants to win, he's trying to get traded to go win a SB, he's still got 2 years left on his deal at $19 and $20m he's not getting a contract this year. Cleveland is willing to give him Franchise QB Money to stay but he doesn't want more money, we wants jewelry, so he's not gonna hamper the team he's hoping will get him a ring by adding a near QB contract to their books. 19. Peters seems to apply the "fill needs in free agency, raise the ceiling in the draft", so I can see someone like Reddick and/or Mack helping with that even though the draft is deep at edge.

    One thing I'm coming to believe more and more with a Myles Garrett trade is it won't happen before June 1st bc the Browns will have to eat $20M+ dead cap if they do.

21. This is the kind of deal I expect from the Commanders in the off season. Last year they made a number of reasonably priced signings and trades for solid veterans most of which who worked out or at least improved the situation over what it previously was. I don't see them changing from that as if they can get 10 solid upgrades or 2 super splashy hires, I see them going with the larger impact. I'm ready for this part of the season to begin as I think it's going to be fun to watch.

23. @Street Scores, if we could sign Crosby to a 5 year deal with a option to get out of the 5th year then make that shit happen NOW! The man is only 26 so if he plays all 5 years he will only be 31 when his contract is up and Crosby “barring injuries” will give you, at minimum, 50 sacks in that 5 year time. We could then still either extend him or trade him for draft capital in 4 to 5 years down the road. You can’t do that with Garret, Mack or Ridick! You can build a future around Crosby and JD5!

24. Outside of Reddick holding out and trying to get more money he hasn’t been a problem. Personally I support any player trying to get paid because when it’s all said and done the players are the ones putting the bodies on the line and in some cases their life. Reddick has always produced wherever he’s played.
