Last night after this happened and it was the closing minutes then into OT, I was sure Zegras would score just to make things worse.

Stupid little rat. In the final version of this team that competes for a cup I hope we have a Darren McCarty type bruiser who will just deal with these type of indiscretions with his knuckles meeting the assailants face.
Penalty should be – at least – out as long as the victim is out.
Edit: I’ll amend this. Penalty should be number of games missed by victim _plus_ three games.

It should be three games or after Rasmussen comes back, whichever is longer. He should not be able to play a single game this season as long as Rasmussen is out.
Based on the history of the DOPS it’s surprising to me they gave him 3, but it’s the right call I think

If someone is deemed to have deliberately injured an opposing player with a cheap shot, and the player is injured, i believe the party of the first part should be suspended as long as the party of the second part is out healing from said injury.
