  1. You know, I was pretty down on the Jays this offseason, and with good reason I'd say. I mean, barring a miracle, Vladdy already has a foot out the door because of Atkins and Shapiro's "valuations". It's not looking super promising. But then I remember, boy, I could be a White Sox or Angels fan. It could always be worse.

  2. While I’m sure the white Sox will be bad this year too, drawing any meaning from a spring training game is pointless. Nobody is trying, they are just playing to get loose and work out.

  3. All major sports organizations should adopt a new rule. If a team hasn't won a playoff series or in the nfl's case a playoff game in over 10 years. The owners should be forced to sell the franchise. Make the owners actually care.

  4. I know this is not feasible without completely restructuring the entire minor league and farm system at the most fundamental level, but I would love to see the soccer style promotion/relegation system brought to MLB. In other words, the worst 3 MLB teams get demoted to AAA the next season, and the best 3 AAA teams get promoted to MLB the next season. Obviously it's never gonna happen, but it would be a lot of fun if it did.

  5. Most of those runs were off a guy with a career ERA of almost 5 in the minors, during their third spring training game. Yeah, the White Sox are going to be bad, but not because of this guy.
