[Ian Rapoport] Sources: The #Packers have had trade conversations centered around star CB Jaire Alexander and they are open to moving him for the right price. Alexander, still just 28 and a two-time Pro Bowler, is considered to be the most decorated CB available.

  1. We already have a CB1 with injury problems. I don’t think it would be wise to pay premium prices for another.

  2. Didn’t the jags already do something similar with shaquill griffin?

That ended horribly – Just as this will. Alexander can’t stay healthy

  3. Good player, but he has played 50% of all the games in the last 4 years, 34 out of 68. Makes me think the price wont be worth it.

  4. Hell no. He’s been amazing when healthy but if arguably the smartest personnel organization wants to move on from him…..

Let’s use that pick on one of the several good DBs in the draft instead of trading for a 28 year old with a big salary who’s shown he can’t stay healthy. 3 of the 4 last seasons he hasn’t played in more than 7 games.

  5. Hard pass. Unless we get him for peanuts I have 0 desire for another corner who will play 5 games a season.

  6. Feels like the kind of move a team in immediate SB or bust territory should do, we’re probably at least a season too early for a similar move. By cornerback standards, “just” 28 isn’t young, and he’s injury prone

  7. I don’t want us to make any big splash moves this offseason. We’re in the first year of an entirely new coaching staff. We’re need to temper our expectations this year and the new staff needs to take the year to evaluate our current roster with the new scheme. Then next year make the offseason. Moves

  8. I’d rather get Will Johnson in the draft than some injury prone player if we are going CB.
