THIS Is The Only Way To Fix The Phoenix Suns

The Phoenix Suns are in the midst of one of the most disappointing seasons in team history. A roster that includes stars Devin Booker, Kevin Durant and Bradley Beal are sub .500 and outside of the Play in. Some fans are inclined to blame them. Others want to put the onus on Mat Ishbia or James Jones. All would be right but there is only one way to fix the team this offseason and this is how.

  1. Phoenix suns Mat ishbia today James Jones should be fired today that three years this team had no bench it's time to hire Bob Myers to fix the problem it's always been talent role players with size and length if they out scorer you they going lose

  2. Espo is 100% right on the intro. That article you referenced regarding James Jones was from Kevin Arnovitz and was featured on AZ Sports in 2022. It detailed one of Jones' assistants Zach Amundson being told by Jones he didnt want to go over a scouting reports of 200-300 players.

โ€œOur draft board would be a mockery to other teams,โ€ said Amundson. โ€œBy the time we were done, we had only five to seven guys on our draft board.โ€

Mat Ishbia should seriously consider hiring Jerry Colangelo on a consultative basis this summer and give him the autonomy to overhaul this entire front office. Instead of Bob Myers as GM what about bringing back Bryan Colangelo? He utilized a combination of the draft and free agency to build the Nash era Suns. If anyone could right the ship it would be the Colangelos.

  3. Time to hit the reset button… Trade booker n KD get as many pics as you can and start over… I know it sounds horrible but it's actually going to be kind of fun to have fresh young players again but let's learn our lesson from the successful 2021 team and not get impatient and blow it up when they lose one game in the second round of the playoffs no matter how bad

  4. These takes are so bad. The gm isn't the problem, it's Ishbia. Literally they didn't okay the trade for KD until the day that Ishbia got approved as owner. That's the original sin, and everything else stems from that trade. JJ will be the scapegoat but he built a championship caliber team already. What changed? Oh right the ownership

  5. I really hope that they fire James Jones and fire him during the season and bring on Bob Myers so the players see & know who they would be working with in the FO & you never know maybe other players from different teams might like that move

  6. Taurasi the GOAT of the WNBA ๐Ÿ Hope she continues to inspire the generations of Phoenix Mercury Players to come ๐Ÿ‘‰ Congrats to her and all her success, she will be missed ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿงก

  7. I think had they kept CP3 or Ayton for 1 more year they would have been better off. CP3 preferably. They were too aggressive with cleaning house. The Beal trade was the beginning of the end. Hindsight is 20/20 but Ishbia was laughing about the luxury apron like it was no big deal. Since they put all their eggs in the Beal basket they missed out on Jimmy Butler who revived the warriors.

  8. Push reset button.. Fire James Jones, Mike and Trade all Superstars after this season.. But you have to wait for 5-6 years to be relevant but it will be beautiful 2030 moving forward.

  9. From the DNVR guys, some things I totally don't agree with, but some things I do agree with, but he thinks Booker will compete for a championship staying in Phoenix? lol, we failed CP3, Booker, KD, Monty Williams as a whole suns, front office/organization, Monty understood these players, I seen it in on and off the court, as fans including myself, we owe Monty Williams a big apology, Monty was a leader of men, we went from Frank Vogel who I didn't feel a connection with this guy after we got unlucky Nick Nurse didn't accept the job, or Tye Lue, etc, ,Vogel overrated with his winning a bubble ring with LeBron making more decisions than Vogel, we just have short term memory, simple common sense, there's a reason why our culture is gone, nobody feels like a family anymore in this organization, the identity is gone, the passion, energy is gone, since CP3 and Monty left,Lord have mercy. Speaking for all fans, Do you really think Booker will want accept being part of this painful rebuild when Booker is literally in his prime right now at age 28 trying to compete for a championship now? Booker deserves better than this, it's about what's best for HIM, not what we want as FANS, of course Booker has a higher trade value, because he's in his prime, simplllleee as that, KD's trade value should be lower but still gets you something, KD at age 36, still carrying this team left and right with his own legs, best shot blocker we ever seen in the game, not miraculously hasn't fallen off of a bad injury because he's getting older, it's blessing KD's been heaIthy in this 2024-25 campaign minus injury that wasn't too serious this season but he's mostly healthy gotta feel for him, you know? both Booker and KD deserve so much better, I'm sorry man, If I get attacked on here for whatever reason, I'll take the heat for it, this isn't about winning debates or arguments, all I want is for Booker and KD to win a championship that's it, and sadly I don't think atm they can win here in Phoenix, I think the team would most sense, is the Cleveland Cavaliers for both of them, Cleveland are a great organzation and they will take good care of Booker and KD there, you remember how they played with each other in the Olympics in the past summer, KD always wanted to come Phoenix because he wanted to help Devin Booker not for hom to do everything in his own, if KD leaves Booker, Booker will be like hell no, I can't do this on my own, because he's never able to do it on his own his whole career, CP3 was a Superstar to make Booker a superstar, with the Beal no trade clause, nothing we can do about it now, because damage is already done with Beals expensive contract. I see everyone starting to wake up now with our losing streak. I feel bad for coach Bud because he hasn't known well what the Suns culture is about, and now we're stuck with Mike Budenhozer to begin with from all the mess that started after we fired Monty Williams.

  10. Thatโ€™s the problem the suns rally behind book for all these years and heโ€™s not that guy โ€ฆheโ€™s a number 2 or 3 option on a championship team .

  11. Every knows the problem is James Jones. Reportedly Frank Vogel asked Jones about a PG during his run & Jones denied him. Jones also chose Vogel who didnโ€™t fit as a coach. Jones also chose Bealโ€™s contract. He wants to blame KD but itโ€™s not easy for him to do so. Soon the owner will catch wind & let him go

  12. Trade Booker and KD while they still have value. You have to keep Beal because you'd have to send picks out to move him. Take it down to the studs

  13. How can anyone take for 24 minutes about the future of an NBA team and not mention the CBA. Apparently, just like the front office, suns journalists and fans don't care about the CBA either.
On the other hand, I don't think one title should allows Denver any level pedantry.

  14. I'm a Houston rockets fan and let me say thanks Phoenix suns for the lottery pick we're going to get in the draft on top of all the great talent and additional picks we already have
    ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

  15. This is what happens when a rich person treats a sports franchise as a shiny, new toy. Ishbia built a fantasy basketball team that would dominate NBA 2K. But now itโ€™s probably a fantasy if the Suns recover from his disastrous decisions by 2030.

  16. Part of what's so great about Suns fans, is we have a lot of heart. And we really love Booker and KD. Booker especially is the face of the Suns. Kinda like Nash and Kevin Johnson. He's the reason we pay for good tickets. Every time someone suggests we trade Booker especially, this lifelong fan says no. I'd rather keep the guy we've had for 10 years and struggle a little bit. Although I don't blame him at all. Trading our best scorers for a "reset" is not what lifelong fans want. Go be all about business in another state. I've got 25 years at least to go. We will get our championship.

  17. Since Beal has a No-Trade Clause, designate him as the franchise player for the next 2+ years.

This summer, trade both KD and Book asap before it is too late for the best rebuilding pieces.
