Great news to hear it straight from the mouth of Veggie! Obviously, that doesn't mean it's a sure thing that he will get resigned/extended, but it definitely is really good to hear that he enjoys being on this team and that he wants to hang around "for a couple more years".

I really don’t see why GMBA would trade really anyone right now. Stick with the group and see what they can do this season.
Let’s be real, IF we get into the playoffs, that will be a 100% perfect season for us. We’re not expecting a Stanley Cup or anything.
Veggie locked up would be awesome. If we can’t, I do think move him while there is still return. Another prospect goalie. Rodrigue comes to mind with EDM.
Cole and Bjugstad are both players I hope we’re shopping at the deadline. They have value now, and don’t have a place on our lineup long term (or next year, yet, for that matter. Plus I think their roles can easily be backfilled from our pipeline.
If they trade Veggie, they are basically punting on this season. Would be a bummer to see being this much in the playoff hunt.
I saw another quote from GMBA about how our squad has earned the right to stay together. I am thinking they sign Veggie and keep hunting for that WC2 spot!!
