I hope so too, Matt.
Look, Matt is playing the agent/salary game and I respect him for that, and our Front Office is obviously reevaluating him each year as part of a clear effort to put us in a position to win super bowls ASAP or else be ready to pivot to another long term option. That being said, I wish they would both just shut the fuck up about it and play ball, we all see what is going on here.
Im not enamoured with matty as it seems the rest of this sub is and i lowkey wanted that giants pick to draft shedeur tbh.
I like the year to year approach with Stafford. This gives us flexibility in case his production falls off a cliff. FO knows what they are doing.
Of course he’s playing next year!

He just signed a contract with $100 million guaranteed. He better play past this year. Or does he just want to “retire” and sit on his ass collecting the $50 mil for doing nothing like Aaron Donald did?
It’ll come down to a ton of factors.
He will be our QB as long as he’s the best option, as soon as McVay sees a better option (whether it’s due to Matthew declining, us having a high pick, or someone being available), Sean will not hesitate to make the switch.
