I’m still a bit stunned they didn’t manage to bring back Heaney on that crazy cheap deal he received… Go make a trade, you can’t afford to fall 10 games back really early again.
Bruh what happened to Bradford?? What most excited about him man
Seems like unless they make a trade Houser almost has to make the team at this point. He hasn’t been great the last few years but you can argue he’s had more big league success overall than Dunning has and you just can’t know what you’re going to get out of the rookies.
I’ve thought this whole off season that injuries would decide our fate this season, I certainly didn’t think the issue would rear its head so quickly though.
Letting Heaney (who never once went on the IL as a Ranger and had a 4.50 ERA for two years) walk and sign with the Pirates for $5M never sat right with me.
Degrom is likely to miss games as well just because of his injury history. Like 20 starts would be a great number for him right?
This rotation might be held together with hopes, dreams, and duct tape by april/may
Same story every time. (X Pitchers) start is being moved back a day, now he has elbow/forearm/shoulder soreness, now he’s getting an MRI but it’s just precautionary, MRI showed no structural damage, now he’s being shut down multiple weeks but Rangers say he’s avoided surgery, then cue the Passan tweet “Rangers Starting Pitcher X is scheduled to undergo Tommy John surgery…”
Bring back Gibby and Lance Lynn, maybe give Thor a shot? And of course bring in Trevor Bauer

It never ends man
Gray is always hurt, so that injury doesnt surprise me, but jesus christ can we not lose our whole rotation before the season starts?
What does the rotation even look like now, with the “elbow soreness” for Mahle?
1. deGrom
2. Eovaldi
3. Dunning?
4. Leiter?
5. Rocker?
This seems VERY shaky past our aces
