1. How people are worried about the leafs falling off is acrually manifesting it. As fans, we have the right to speak out opinions, but as human beings that exchange energy we shoukd acknowledge that by manifesting all this conditional fandom energy it is actually causing the leafs to play worse.

   Heres why, those guys are feeling how the fans animosity, and its not making them play better.

   In fact its probably causing them to have to cope with unhealthy habits, not workout as much, because the healthier mentally they are the more they feel the hostility.

   Leaf fan for life win or lose, i hope and pray we start giving those guys the respect they deserve and prove why we deserve another cup, instead of being hypercritical.

5. Sammy there's some cookies coming up? Like the San Jose 3-2 loss cookie? Or the OT wins vs pitiful Bos and Pitt, while giving up 9 goals? There's no cookies, this has been coming for weeks. The last 4 contenders we've played have lost all 4, and got embarrassed by VGK and COL.

10. I thought the whole point in bringing in big burly defenseman is to they could clear the net. This tight box system is keeping the wingers too close to the net. They’re missing easy cut offs along the boards because of this. Just moving the wingers out would allow for less defensive zone time. Prioritizing size over speed and puck movers isn’t helping as well.

    It feels as if Treviling and Berube miscalculated that the scoring talent would compensate for Berube’s system and instead it’s done the polar opposite.

11. Mathews needs to show some emotion, he’s the captain, when have you seen him mad, slam the boards, total silence on the bench, the team feeds on the the captain, as he goes, so does the team
    If Mathew’s doesn’t wake up and take control of “his” team then this is the end

12. The sens played super aggressive, and the leafs handled it okay. The difference between now and the beginning of the season is the goaltending. Stolarz hasn't been spectacular and he isn't hiding the underlying issues with the team anymore. You gotta flip the script and be the aggressors. Take the fight to the other team instead of sitting back and trying to deal with what the other team throws at you. Also, how many times has OEL had to do the walk of shame this year? It seems like he takes a dumb penalty every game, and the other team always scores when he is in the box. Kill one for the guy for Pete's sake.

13. You guys are cowards, always on Marner, or Nylander or goal keeping, the problem is the Captain, why do you not call him out? Like you do Marner

15. LOVE it when leaf fans talk crap about beating Ottawa in the playoffs… BUT those leaf teams had everything the current teams has none! GRIT EXPERIENCE HEART. Leafs had stanley cup winners, and players that wore a letter on previous teams.

17. I've been right all year that this team is wildly flawed with a bad coach, average at best GM and a feckless president which built a team of players that can't hold it together.

    Let's just miss the playoffs and get this gutting started.

    Leafs fandom is not as much fun as it should be. Especially given the caliber of our roster we have had this past decade, which is the fourth for me. I miss the results from actual effort. Effort and heart getting us over the hump. Real hockey from the likes of Gary Roberts, Mogilny, Gilmour and Wendy or even Corson and how he neutralized Yashin.
    Can we do it with this group? Can we look competitive against the teams we fear? Can we make anyone fear us? I am afraid to admit the truth as a fan.

23. Johnny, played excellent tonight again. If the other big time players STOP trying to be fancy and move the puck and shoot the puck quicker than the other team can react, then they will be successful. JT is ready…always ready to take a puck in front on the PP but Marner, Matthews and Nylander hold onto the puck for way too long and pass late on every powerplay and it confuses John…Stop playing cute around Johnny, because it's tougher to make the reads on delayed passes….Simplify guys, you have the great John Tavares on our team

24. This has nothing to do with Berube! The core four should have been broken up 2 years ago!! Shanahan is done this year.

25. All good teams have their fixed lines…teams that are not good are always switching lines to find somem that works in hopes of desperation. We are still mixing lines to find what works, game 66 of the season….really.
    The truth is nothing works with the core 4. Too much ego and no chemistry. Blow it up. BRADDDDDDDDDDDDDDD!

26. Don’t let their peaks fool you, when the games get gritty, less space the core “fore!” Will fizzle and not be game breakers. Playoff success is always heart and grit, not fancy skilled plays that work 1% or selfish shots from perimeter. Matthew’s as captain says it all, he is no Brady or mc David or Nate…softness = another lacklustre 1rd exit
