  1. No thanks.

I’m looking at the available FA tight ends between him and Tyler Conklin, similar on the stat sheets but Conklin is slightly younger and ranks WAYYYYY lower on the chances of injury -Goedert rates a whopping 76.4% likelihood of injury in 2025, while Conklin comes in under 30% (deemed “low risk”.) Now I obviously realize these are metrics but I wrote down a bunch of our own players last two seasons and their chance of injury percentage per Draft Sharks and they rang surprisingly accurate. It’s just a gauge still, but I would stay away from Goedert. No chance of him developing into more than a splash here in LA. Even Pitts from ATL ranks lower on the injury risk at around 60%. Let’s face it, tight ends going across the middle makes injury likely for any of them, but if we have to start off with someone already banged up pretty bad, hard pass for me. Give me Conklin or Pitts. If the Jets make a move for Andrews with Baltimore, Conklin will be offered up on a silver platter.

  2. It would be nice for someone to do a realistic breakdown of the Chargers salary cap scenario from start to finish. To include a past big name receiver, center, RB and TE. Lets honestly see how far that 90 mil would stretch, with something left in the tank for the draft and UFDA signings. Nobody has done this, and if we're honest with ourselves, someone should before criticizing this regimes approach, everyday.
