[Stephen Nelson] Japanese/Asian staff members of the Dodgers and Cubs, along with the six home-country heroes who had center stage this week. I think, for each of us, a significant and truly special way to cap the #TokyoSeries

  1. It is pretty fascinating how the Dodgers essentially cornered the Japanese and Korean markets through trailblazers Nomo Hideo and Chan Ho Park.

When I think of it the one of Dodger’s core identity as a team seems to be trailblazing, Jackie Robinson, Fernando Valenzuela, and Nomo Hideo. Each representing African American, Mexican American, and Asian communities.

  2. It’s basically an all Dodger photo. The other Asians on the cubs probably are the interpreters.

I wonder how many Asians work for other teams. They probably have your typical 1 or 2 with them having to take constant microaggressions over and over again.
