Milwaukee Bucks: Damian Lillard has sustained a deep vein thrombosis (blood clot) in his right calf. Lillard is on blood-thinning medication, which has stabilized the blood clot, and will continue with regular testing. He is out indefinite period.

  1. Crazy how these elite athletes are getting DVTs/blood clots

Usually older people/hosp patients who are sedentary get em. Get well soon Dame

  2. I went for my entire life never hearing of the term “deep vein thrombosis” and now I’ve heard it multiple times in the past couple months

  3. Wow…

    Well there’s the season.

More importantly though I hope he’s okay. The definitely does not sound good.

  4. This is bad. Way more concerning than Wemby. Hopefully he doesn’t get Bosh’d

  5. Curious if the guy who made the post about never getting to see Dame play in person feels bad now

  6. Giannis playoff injury luck since the title has been absolutely terrible. Monkey’s paw and all… Really feel for Bucks fans. Not a single healthy playoff run since 2021.

  7. Thankfully they caught it early. Those leg clots routinely can break off and travel to your lungs which causes pulmonary embolism… Hopefully he bounces back. Olajuwon dealt with leg clots during his career but was able to play with a compression sleeve

  8. Who was that asshole that started the thread complaining that Dame Lillard was sitting when he went to the game in person LOL

  9. I’m so sorry, Bucks fans. We understand your pain too well. I’m hoping Dame makes a full recovery.

  10. League needs to help prevent DVTs – i.e. prevent long flights and short turn around, have players use compression socks, educate that they have to move more during flights or travel on a bus or long commute. this isn’t normal to have so many players have clots like this.

  11. This type of clot is worse than the Wemby one by the way. Maybe I’m being pessimistic but I wouldn’t be shocked if this is it for his career which sucks,
    Love dame.

  12. Sad about Dame and also sad (but not as much) that Shams doesn’t know the word “indefinitely”
