Casey DeSmith made 46 saves on the night, Roope Hintz, Mikko Rantanen and Matt Duchene each had a goal and an assist, and the Dallas Stars took care of the Calgary Flames 5-2.

  3. Dallas, despite being badly outplayed on back-to-back nights, won again (after their win in Edmonton). Good for the Stars, but against better teams the result would be different when you get outshot 48-19.

  10. Let’s recap what happened tonight shall we? Wild win, Nashville takes a 2-0 lead against the Blues, they proceed to throw that lead, end up scoring at the end of the period a MILLISECOND too late and can’t tie it up. Flames come out of this game absolutely on fire, outshooting Dallas 6-1, the Stars get a nice bounce puck goes into the slot and it’s 1-0 Stars. Ok, that’s fine. Puck goes off Zary’s skate and into the net. However there is a distinct kicking motion, (Zary is getting pushed into crease by a defender) 50/50 call goes the stars way, that’s fine, play goes on. I believe Farabee scores on a nice shot, except the Flames get absolutely shafted by the officials in Toronto, an absolutely soft no goal call for goalie interference, but that’s A-ok because Nazem Kadri scores an absolute smooth goal to tie it up. Flames defence and goaltending shits itself, gives up two goals in the span of under 2 minutes, 3-1 stars, but that’s ok the Flames have came back on plenty of games in the third these past two seasons not even worried, Kadri scores early in the third 3-2 back in business. The Flames go on to absolutely pelt the tired Stars with over 20 shots in the period and Desmith makes possibly the greatest serge bobrovsky game 3 conference finals against Carolina impression, robs the Flames in broad daylight. Ranntanen slips and falls into Zary injuring him (incidental) and would go on to score with 6 minutes left on the first Dallas shot of the period. Zary is done for the season, the stars score into the empty net and win 5-2 Burn the tie and never wear those black jerseys ever again. The hockey gods are mad at us.

  16. LoL the league helping out the stars, and they're also getting all the cheap lucky bounces. Their dumb puck luck will eventually dry out and their pathetic defense will be exposed in april. Got outplayed and gave up over 40 shots to a wild card team. Yeah, good luck beating the avs, vgk, jets with that garbage defense.

  33. Flames Low-Light of the game: Pospisil trying to throw the reverse hit and getting drilled to the ice, then Weegar and Backlund with the absolutely EFFORTLESS flyby while Marchment feeds a wide-open Duschene who had all day and an empty net.

    The De Smith save on Frost was insane though. 🕶
