  1. Don’t get me wrong, I love goldy and he’s been producing. But I don’t think he’s our leadoff.

  2. No one can convince me Stroman is worth trading for a box of half eaten donuts.

  3. Keep Jazz at 2nd for the whole year he and Volpe need to keep building up that chemistry. It will get better and better with the more reps. I think Peraza can be a very solid backup infielder he just needs to be able to hit.

  4. 12 RBI in 8 games for Volpe. That’s what a middle of the order hitter does.

  5. We just needed the young guys to step up a little to make the loss of Soto less painful. I think Wells, Volpe, and Dominguez have promising years ahead. This offense will be fine. I think it will be up to the pitching staff this year, especially without Cole.

  6. Not only Judge but Volpe also said he would like to play for team USA. It’s almost impossible for him to make the team but if keeps hitting like this maybe he can get a spot you never know.

  7. Imagine not having a Trent Grisham, Anthony Volpe or Aaron Judge on your team, not us.

Hopefully weather cooperates tomorrow and we get it in for the 🧹. Before heading to cold Detroit. Someone tell me again why all our games are in the cold to start the season?

Great start to the season. Let’s win another one tomorrow

  8. Soto: I picked the Mets because they have a better future

Volpe, Rice, Jazz, Wells, Dominguez: Hold our beers

  9. Imagine I tell you Aaron Judge was hitting .303 with 4 HRs and 12 RBI after his disastrous 2024 April you’d think he was off to a great start through 8 games. Right? But no those are fucking Anthony Volpe numbers 👀

Aaron Judge yeah he isn’t doing bad either with .364 6HRs and 17RBI….

Aaron Judge is still on a 121.5 HR pace

  10. I still think Falter had the Yankees number. Things just didn’t go his way in the 5th.

  11. Texas doing us a solid by beating the breaks out of Boston and Tampa. Problem is, they might turn out to be our biggest threat.

  12. I wonder if Grish hates having awesome games like today, only because he has to talk to the media after

  13. Stro did great in the first three innings 0 runs then crumbled in the 4th. It happens to everyone.

  14. One thing is for certain…. Trent Grisham was meant to be a Pirate and Pittsburgh should trade Ke’Bryan for him

  15. Is there anything better than watching our young players perform this well so far? Goddamn it feels good!

  16. Stroman tried his best to give it away in the 4th after he was cruising through 3 innings. Thankfully the pen and the offense backed him up today. For the bullpen: 5.0 IP, 1 H, 0 ER, 2 BB, 7 K with Yarbrough going 2.0 IP and 5 K. Offense with 10 R on 14 hits, led by the smoothest 4th OF in MLB Trent Grisham. He goes 2-4, 2 HR, 4 RBI. Volpe the other big contributor on the day, going 2-5, 3 RBI, and 2 2B including a bases clearing 2B in the 5th. Goldschmidt also quietly gets 3 hits on the day as well. Such a sight to see the kids and Grisham produce again on a day the 2x AL MVP Judge goes relatively quiet for his standards. Still, all starters got a hit as they take another game over the lowly Pirates to win the series. Looking for the sweep tomorrow with Warren and build off on a good outing vs Dbacks.

  17. I was at an event from 4 to 7 and I checked my phone and the Yankees were losing 4-2, them the next time I checked they were losing 8-4 so I didn’t check again.

A pleasant surprise when I just checked the final.

Either the MLB app was fucked up or I was really tired.

  18. I hope Will Warren does awesome tomorrow. A little more command and this kid will be great.

  19. Lineup for when Belli comes back

    1. Rice DH

    2. Bellinger CF

    3. Judge RF

    4. Chisholm 2B

    5. Goldschmidt 1B

    6. Wells C

    7. Volpe SS

    8. Dominguez LF

    9. Cabrera 3B

  20. Marcus Stroman has not made it through 5 innings in either start despite getting a ton of run support

I don’t think we have to worry about him hitting that vesting option. Yankees know what he is at this point.

  21. Remember when some wanted to call Goldschmidt washed after the first game of the season lmao

  22. If Grisham keeps playing the way he has been he might actually go down as a Yankees legend in the books.

  23. Our run differential would be insane without the low end guys giving up runs in blowouts.

  24. Like what I’m seeing from Peraza. I think he can have a future in this league wherever it’s here or elsewhere he can be a good backup infielder. Great defense and above average speed just need to see some hitting.

  25. Yankees banked a lot on the kids being productive this year and the early returns are looking great

  26. The boys up the middle are turning double plays the likes of which have not been seen in the Bronx in I don’t know how long.

  27. I missed the game earlier and just wanted to take a moment to say: Trent Fucking Grisham, ladies and gentlemen.

  28. The double play Volpe turned on Reynolds in the 5th inning was hit at 112 MPH and had a xBA of .730 it was an incredible play.

  29. The gloveless home runs just hit different. I miss Jorge, but Grisham is doing him proud early on this year.

  30. Again, the worst hitter in the lineup today (after the game) had an .833 OPS.
