He was flashing a 2 to voice his support for starting Mason.
Maybe he was trying to tell us he’d play for cheap, like $2M and the Steelers are really eager to make him one of the highest paid guys 🤞

I love TJ. Hell, my dog’s names are TJ and Geno. But I think if we can move him for a pair of picks – two 2nds, god willing – then we should think about doing it. This team isn’t winning a SB any time soon, we have to be practical about this.
On one hand I’m like “pay him” but on the other I’m like, can we afford to pay him and still make the moves we need to be competitive?
